I just bought this 2002 Miata LS, fully equipped with new UHP tires and only 29,000 well maintained miles
Mark and I drove over to Columbus Ohio, I already had run an Autocheck on it, clean everything plus a 30 point inspection done by a Miata tech.  The money that I got from my sale of the Vstrom went a long way toward buying it.

I drove it back in a heavy rain, no leaks anywhere and excellent handling from the new tires.

Can't hardly wait for another Bellaire Inzane so i can try it out on the golf cart path. Cheesy

Way to go!
Back in a different life we had a '97 and then a 2007. Mucho difference between the two. You will or should enjoy tons of trouble free miles from her and a lot of spirited performance smiles as well.

Very nice looking auto Wayne, and I like the color.  cooldude

Sliding in and out of low cars takes technique.

Pappy, you had an A and a C model, big difference.  This ,of course, is a B 1999 to 2005.   What is unusual is this has a six speed manual. Overall, much better condition than my 1999 was.

Jess, according to Miata enthusiasts, only four 2002 Miatas were painted that color.  I've never seen another one this color either.

Hmmm....a chick magnet if I ever saw one.  Wink  Enjoy it Wayne, just watch where you're going with it. I remember all too well your cruise down the golfcart lane in Michigan.   Grin

A lady at work had one but didn't ride it much either, low miles.  She enjoyed driving it with the top down, sort of like a big go-kart.

Mazda surely has come a long ways and a lot of their cars now are on the top of the lists for reliability and fuel efficiency as well and some don't look too shabby.

You got a good deal to find one so old being a 2002 with such super low mileage.  Very rare indeed.

Love the color Wayne.

IfI could get in and out of one without too much effort, I'd have one.

One setting at the Mazda dealership where I used to drive shuttle.

They are not advertising it.   They say just storing it for the owner.

The owner is the owner of the dealership.   DUH.........

I will be doing a few maintenance things to it.  Synthetics in the tranny and diff.  Complete four wheel alignment.  Spark plug change (aluminum head, steel spark plug, antiseize).   I hope to do, or have done, a clay bar treatment and my old reliable ReJex polymer wax job.

Other than that, I just hope to enjoy it.  I'm sure looking forward to 'being in the wind' again, even if it's slightly different,

That front license plate bracket HAS, I repeat,  HAS, to COME OFF.  Thanks gosh, Indiana only has one license plate requirement.

John, yeah, i know, it's a chick magnet.  Unfortunately, besides an old goat driving it, I'm surrounded here in the senior apartments by a lot of old hens. Grin

Well then...... I would definitely avoid getting up early and crowing like a rooster.  Grin

When my folks first retired to some really nice FL condo's on inland waterways in Punta Gorda Isles, my dad (a VP engineer in charge of all plant construction in the largest steel mill in MI) immediately discovered the condos were being grossly mismanaged and taken advantage of by every maintenance contractor they used.  He raised hell and was promptly elected president of the association.   Mom was not happy, since he had just spent 35 years being busy 24 X 7, and here he was doing it again.

Well the funny part was that the large collection of older retired (single/solitary) ladies suddenly found my dad available to personally fix all kinds of things in their condos (and he was good at that too, and a good samaritan), but mom was sure that it was mostly to get some personal male attention by a nice gentleman.  Dad said some of the minor repairs looked to be from intentional causes.   2funny
