End of pow wow

Another pow wow has come to an end.

Christin and I would like to thank all for attending, we had some good friends, good rides, good food.

Weathers held out for most of the weekend was still able to get bbq in tonight before the rain.

Thank you all for attending,  be safe going home,   And looking forward to next year.

Sorry I missed this year's event.   I really wanted to attend.    Some of the VRCC Best and most valued friends are regulars and I missed seeing them again.

Wow, This was my first VRCC Event and I was blown away.  The effort you put in to the weekend was apparent, and the riding area you choose was great.  The food, well lets just say I will be working it off for the next few weeks!!

What a great diverse group, met everyone for breakfast on Friday as stranger and at the end of the meal I felt like we all been friends for years thank you for that.

I am looking forward to next years Powwow

Gman and I rode up the goat trail and 9W to the Motorcycle Museum after the thunderstorms passed around 11am  It was my 1st time to the museum.

When we arrived Xman was waiting in the parking lot   Had not seen Tom since our ride to and from Inzane last year  




After waiting and it being apparent the group had no intentions of coming we went in

There was a big room section devoted to custom choppers, chariots, funny car type bikes and rat bikes

Finally we went over to Orange County Choppers to meet the group for lunch

Food was good but service slow, the powwow group had been there an hour and had not been served yet  However once I arrived and offered to make the waitress a secretary food came immediately
In fact I got my food before JoevalkIS !   Sorry Joe  you just have to learn how not to scare the waitress



After great conversation with a couple from DC at lunch and then outside in the parking lot with Roger and Ed and some farewells to the rest we all headed east over the Hudson River then Gman and I took the 9 south, friday we had a great run down the Taconic yesterday was nice as well
and the powwow for us was over

Stewart ya done good   This is a great weekend so I also want to thank Chrome and Sue and
3Wlonerider and Deb for starting the powwow's   I know I enjoyed hosting once and also enjoy the friendship and conversation and riding  Rick congratulations on losing 70lbs !! That is great work and all by your force of will alone.  Hope to see you all down the road

Well...another great PowWow is in the books.  Hated to leave but we had an absolute blast (as usual) while there.  Thank you Stewart for hosting this year.  You done a great job picking roads that were both fun to ride and offered a great view of a truly beautiful part of the US.

Our trip started out Tuesday afternoon when we rode to Eaton, OH for the night.  We met up with RDAbull (Roger) Wednesday morning and proceeded to Columbus, Parkersburg, WV, Morgantown, WV, Hagerstown, MD, then on up to Shippensburg, PA where we met up with 3w-lonerider.  Thursday morning started out cool and we added a few bikes to the group for the ride up to Fishkill, NY.  Friday and Saturday were spent riding around Eastern NY and Western CT.  For the ride home, Monica, Roger and I rode north on Hwy 17 to I-86 and rode along the southern NY border to miss storms that were running through Pennsylvania.  That is some BEAUTIFUL countryside!!!  We did hit a little rain...about 10 minutes worth just before getting into Ohio near Erie.  We left Roger in Cleveland and we rode down to Akron for the night.  The rest of the ride was uneventful and dry.  All total, Monica and I rode about 2500 miles in 7 days!!!  That is a good week in my books!!!

Arrived home late Monday night. Tried to do the Blue Ridge Parkway but off and on rain forced me back on the interstate to make time and get home.

  Stewart, thank you so much for such a GREAT time. I still have images of the ride on Friday in my head, what a most beautiful part of our country. Your generous time and efforts made this a most memorable weekend. Thank you.

So I rushed home so I could collect the Queen (she didn't want to ride in the rain that day) so we could drive back up to Hopewell Junction for my brother's evil wife's birthday.  Showered and shaved and waited for the call for a location that never came.  Called and texted them and finally got a text around 10 saying it was too late and she wasn't feeling well.  Another fine day screwed up by the two of them.  At least I didn't have to drive back up.

Would have loved to have stayed with yous guy.  Had a great time riding and chatting.  Always good see how others have fabricated or invented way for doing this or that on the Valkyrie and getting ideas on what you can do or even what you can do better. 

Next year in Maryland is gonna be pretty cool as we'll have our own D.C. Police escort!   :cool dude:
