Anyone want to take a bet on how long it will take the Twin Peaks bar to go out of business? The Police were very adamant that Twin Peaks did nothing to help or stop this when warned by the Police. I also have to wonder if the Police knew this was coming why did they let it get to this point also?

Both the authorities and Twin Peaks management were aware of the biker meeting ahead of time. I have seen no report of what Twin Peaks management was asked to do, but they apparently wanted the bikers there and did not cooperate with authorities. More idiots there than just the gangs. As to whether Twin Peaks will go out of business, that's an interesting question. They have 38 restaurants in 17 states -- including my town -- never been there though. Most of their locations are in Texas. Latest report on the radio said 9 dead, 18 hospitalized, 172 arrested. I couple of years ago I saw a report that the Bandidos leadership was trying to clean up their image. Since the fight involved mainly Bandidos and Cossacks it looks as if that's set back to the stone age. |

Where did you get that information Dan? I know many 1%ers, and have never heard of this. I was a club member in the seventies, and signing your bike over would never happen. I'd check your facts before you post crap like that. |

They aren't bikers....they're thugs and criminals...nothing else. Good riddance to bad rubbish I say. Whether it was other gang or cop gunfire....who cares?
Been to the Twin Peaks in Houma, LA several times. Not a bad place at all. Sad that the Waco location has now become famous for this reason.

This is far from over. These groups have been fueding like the Hatfield and Mcoys for years. Weather it be done on individual hits or group, game on. Gang wars ie: turf, money, and control etc: are the crux of the game, but there is much more. This has and will go on for years to come. I dealt with some of these people when I was a  and for the most part they are OK folks. I do have a friend in the Outlaws that called me last night. Met him when I was a . All he said for the most part was: "This is gonna get ugly Hooter. Maybe not tomorrow or the next day, but it is gonna end up ugly in the long run". |

Have business to do in San Antonio so drove down 35 past this place yesterday afternoon. Saw 4 flat bed wreckers heading north loaded with Harleys, all exits and the access road is blocked near the Twin Peaks. We'll have to see how it looks Wednesday morning.

Don't be so quick to judge and think everything you read is the facts. A lot of folks don't have a clue how things are ran around the world of MC's, some folks want to be free and some don't. Different views cause conflict and each is standing there ground and fighting for what they want. It's much more complicated than it appears. Just because you don't believe like the next don't make you a bad person and what this country is built on is fighting for what you believe is right.

I understand there is no Twin Peaks franchise at that location any longer -- corporate pulled their ticket, said they had been told NOT to encourage the biker groups to meet there. |

Never underestimate stupidity. I doubt any in the group that got hurt knew what the Grand Old Party is. I visited the restaurant today. all the signage has been removed, parking lot is barricaded off and a rent a cop is watching it. I found the sign they used to hold up the barricade tape humorous. An't no snow in Waco.   |
