If stupid is what it takes we will be stupid as a group. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.  THe problem in George Carlin demonstrated by the video you linked is that he mistakes disagreement with him as stupidity. I don't really think he was that brilliant. I don't thing George Harrison had all that much insight into anything other than creating memorable music that appeals to a large number of people. I don't aspire to be like either of those Georges.
