I/S trunk mount question.

I recently picked up the I/S trunk mount and fender rails, have plans to use a trunk only when traveling. Sort of an "after the fact Supervalk" since the bike started life as a Tourer. My problem: I have the Rivco grab rails mounted on the sides, the left one came with the centerstand, the right side was added for a balanced appearance. I have already cut the slots in the side rails of the trunk mount so I can do a quick removal. But, without going through the trouble just now of installing the I/S fender rails, it appears those Rivco grab rails are going to interfere. Am I correct in my assumption, or does it simply take a bit of maneuvering? Does anyone have the centerstand on their I/S with the rails on both sides, and do they interfere with the trunk mount? I don't really want to take them off, they are handy for strapping things down in back.

Those grab rails mount to the upper shock bolts and to the trunk rack. That's going to mean you'll need to remove the grab rails from the shock bolts before removing the trunk rack. or remove the rear rail fastener from the trunk mount and let the rails dangle. Not so quick a change-out anymore.
If you have the HondaLine saddle bag rails you don't need the Rivco grab rails to get it up on the center stand. The upper bag rail mounts to the upper shock bolt also and is sturdy enough to help heave the bike up on the stand. Been doing it for many years.

P.S. I have the Rivco grab rails also. In lieu of using the saddlebag rails I find the Rivco grab rails useless, even as passenger grab rails - they're way too low for anyone but an ape.
