I need a set if rear wheel dampers for an '01 Interstate part number 06410-MBH-000 and the problem is that I need them by next Wednesday at the latest.  I can send address info if anyone has a set they are willing to part with.  This is a non-stock item at every dealer within 100 miles of Darlington, SC.  Can anyone help me with this?

I make an aftermarket set, but am out of stock due to overwhelming demand, until the end of Sept.
Can the ones you own be used for a month? They don't usually crumble to pieces, but degrade slowly. Replacement is pretty much just wheel removal.
In any case, good luck with it!

Gary,

What do you get for a set (you can email me if you would prefer off the site)?  I have a trip next weekend to the Gap and have a new tire I am putting on and wanted to do dampers at the same time.  I have 94K on the bike and the dampers are pretty bad.  Interstate rear tire removal and install is no fun and I wanted to do it all at the same time.

Thanks
Leon

I've had good luck overnighting stuff from HDL. It is costly but if your in a bind. If yours will last get some from Gary as they are far better. You could also try to build yours up with some shimstock or something to take up the slack until you next tire service and wait on replacement until then.

If you want you can shim them using some cut pieces of say a plastic oil container or Butter till Gary has the one he makes they sell out for a reason  :coolsmiley: :coolsmiley:

Thanks for the ideas of the plastic fill guys.  I did get a set on the way that will be here on Tuesday (OEM).  Next time I will check with Gary.
