What do you think of it? As usual, no support for Windows phones.

Terrible interface.

I expected better from them.

Hey Britman,

Just was doing some searching around and noticed your comment. I would love to know what you don't like about the interface. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

indybobm,

really sorry. We have focused on Android and iOS for the moment. To be honest it is really expensive to add all the different devices that all operate on different platforms, then go through all the testing and quality control that all these apps require. I would like to say that we are working on it, but we just can't afford it at the moment.

But feel free to signup with a premium account and that will add a vote for that Wink Haha, sorry, I could not resist Smiley

Thanks and please let me know any questions.

Rever,

What happens to the data? Who has access to it?

Cheers

Hey Brewer,

It is just us we are a small company looking at helping riders ride. If you are familiar with butler maps we are basically the digital version of them, we have just started a new company to separate things a little.

But nothing sinister about your data, it's just the ability for you to keep track and plan your rides.

Hope that helps, let me know anything else.

Enter start and end destinations and no map appears.

No distance shows

No time shows

No waypoints show

etc etc etc

That's weird.

What browser are you using? Any screen shots you can share would be great.

Works great on all major browsers for me and many other users and have not had any support issues with this listed, so would be really interested to get to the bottom of this one.

Thanks so much.

Oh, yeah man, that's gonna be a problem. Good ol IE8. I have fond memories of XP, start menus and asp. It's much better than IE 6 though. Now that one was a major pain for web developers!

So, if I can offer a suggestion. This browser is in no way capable of executing all the functions needed in the their browser engine to display this site, way back in 2009 when it was released there was not as much complication as these days. There is some serious stuff with this site for Javascript and backend functions. No wonder the map does not even show. So my suggestion would be to upgrade this old fav, might be a long and sentimental goodbye, but you are gonna have issues on lots of other sites not just ours. Although you don't have to upgrade too far. I know the site works great on IE9.

Anyway good luck. If you do upgrade I promise you the site will work much better. Smiley

When I did it on an iPad it showed a map, the distance and time, but no highlighted route.

Britman -

Don't bother with trying to upgrade IE8, no telling what all you might break.

Just install the latest version of Firefox and use it for accessing sites that don't like that old a version of IE.

Even better, go dig up some of those jars of money you got out back and buy yourself a more modern computer, a nice laptop for example.   But hold out just a bit longer, wait for Windows 10...you would hate Win8.

I personally prefer Chrome, but Firefox will also do a good job.

Anyway, just wanted to post a couple of items I see from IE. My version is 11, where things seem to work well. I also included a screen from my iphone with the routing. I will post another from my ipad tonight.

This first on is using the routing fields

This one uses the mouse to drop waypoints

This is a view from the iphone when clicking on the map
