you-can't-stop-it/

Long as it's out of shotgun range.  (course, shooting a shotgun at my house is at least a misdemeanor)

Satellites can read license plates.

Privacy concerns are even more problematic.  As any journalist can tell you, the press has a right to photograph or videotape what can be seen from a public location, with some exceptions.

The fourth amendment talks about Reasonable Expectation of Privacy.

This should still be the rule.  If your neighbor is watching your women folk thru the back/upstairs windows, he should be in trouble.

Give the NSA a hand. They're pretty busy right now, fighting with Congress over the Patriot Act and all. Just buy one of these things and let it follow you around, recording your every move. It's the Patriotic thing to do!

a shotgun could easily shoot one down with say 4 or 6 shot to spread out over a wider path even at speed, about the size of a goose or duck in the sky.  If just hovering mostly still, a .22 would do the trick.  cooldude

My neighbor wants to get one costing around 1500 bucks with mini cam thinking it would be neat.  If I hear it above my house,  game on = target practice!  Grin

The decision to shotgun one (and probability of success) is directly proportional to how close it gets to invading our privacy and private space.  I realize cameras can be amazing, but if the damn thing is a hundred yards up moving along, I'm not worrying about it, but if it is down in my back yard or outside my windows it's skeet time.  Immediately follwed by a search for it's operator. (I might wear a hood/mask/helmet to make it more difficult to positively ID me in court, just before the camera feed goes to fuzz.)

Misdemeanor or not Jess that thing WILL be SHOT and when the police show up act like an angel

Sir, someone reported hearing a loud gunshot.

Yeah, I heard that too..... woke me out of a nap on the couch, some crazy neighbor of mine no doubt.
