Have been looking for an I/S for awhile to have another ride when I've got my tourer torn down every winter. ( She's got 100k on her and I like to spend extra time on maintenance and upgrades. I want her to be a mileage champ).  Have had a few opportunities on the board here but invariably, something happens to quash my endeavor. Anywho, lurking in CL the other day came across a 99 I/S, 35,900 miles, black, chrome wheels, trunk rack and rails, bag racks and rails, all the chrome you can get for the motor, new tires, year old battery, 6 months of dust, no CB, has rear speakers, stock seat, rad grill and lower grill looks like mike terrys stuff, stock exhaust, power outlet, little stumble on/off idle but ran strong most of stumble gone after 40 miles, needs windshield......$4800. Pretty stoked.

that's a steal of a deal,  glad you bought it, I would have if in the need for another Valk.

I saw one locally all black I/S pretty much stock even at a Honda dealer with 63K on it for ONLY 5500 and I thought that was a good buy.
