I saw last weekend on the interstate doing near 70 mph a small SUV that had with ONLY 1 tie down strap in the middle of a queen sized mattress and boxframe.  The front of both were about 45 degrees up in the air from the wind resistance force on top roof of SUV, not flat like suppose to be.

I felt like beeping the horn and telling them to pull over and get another 1-2 straps to secure it better, would hate to see both go flying down busy interstate and killing someone.  Idiots!  tickedoff

I've sent a LOT of years crossing and criscrosing this great country of ours. Chances are if a person has hauled a household item or a vehicle or a boat etc etc-I've seen it wadded up on the side of the road-SOMEWHERE. The amount of people that have zero knowledge about the CORRECT way to haul and tie down the load is staggering!  uglystupid2 Funniest thing I witnessed was 2 little girls in the back of the station wagon tossing out mamas wardrobe a piece at a time over about 15 or 16 miles.  crazy2 One time I saw a washer a dryer and a freezer that had bounced after it came off whatever it was being hauled upon. I REALLY wanted to be at the new residence when whoever showed up sans-washer-dryer-freezer!  Roll Eyes I SWEAR they were loaded!  Lips Sealed RIDE SAFE.
