I have just retired after serving 35 years in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Clearance Diver.
This July I'm be heading to Sturgis and staying at the Shade Valley Campground. After Sturgis the next stop is the Grand Canyon. Then I'll work my way back east passing through the Smoky Mountains.
I'm looking at maybe 3 - 4 weeks on the road.
Next year I'll head to Inzane.
There are 6 National Parks in the region (mostly Utah and adjacent to the Canyon) that you can spend time at and be dazzled by the different scenery that is unique to each one of them. Spending a couple of days at any one will allow you to get a great overview of the area. Then head east thorough the mountains of southwest Colorado as you make your way they won't disappoint as well.
The state roadways will give you all the excitement and fun that you can handle when you ride the great wide open spaces of the West.
Enjoy the ride and hope that your weather is sunny and warm on your shoulders.
