Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: May 23, 2015, 04:24:28 PM »

We took off this morning after breakfast to ride part of the way with Bruce ( DDT ) as he headed out for home in Alabama. We took some nice back roads today some we have never been on as we made our way back to the hood.
First picture taken on a shade stop very nice area with some cool country roads.

Tres Hombres  ..... Larry , Gordon ( Lucky 13 ) and The myth the man the legend Bruce ( DDT ) who is fast approaching 480,000 miles on his Valkyrie.

Above picture was taken across the river from Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. They have been working on getting both units online for over 40 years and at a cost of many billions. Unit 2 was to be up and running this year now they claim June of 2016 . In 1973 they claimed both units up and running for a total cost of 365 million... That 360M  went out the window many, many years ago.Only good thing about this taking so long and costing so much is its fed thousands of families over the years. (What about it Mike no copy / paste on this ride report  cooldude  ) .

The " Money Shot " taken across the river from Watts Bar Nuclear Plant near Spring City in The Great State Of Tennessee.

Come to Tennessee I can take you to two that's smokin' and one that never will . Google " Hartsville Nuclear Plant  " they spent over 12 billion on it and its got weeds growin' out of the concrete today. It was going to have ( 4 ) reactors and would have been the largest nuke plant on earth.

Thanks to EarlyBird, I got a chance to visit the area across the river where you took your pics Joe. That is an awesome site to see, not having been that close to a nuclear plant before. Tennessee has some great roads, but I do believe you'll already know that, hope to get more riding there. Thanks for sharing.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.
