First, the moral of the story; if you're going to be soldering wearing shorts, be sure your bare leg isn't under the wires being soldered.
I'm adapting Valkyrie controls to the GL1200 project, mounted on Valk bars. It appears the p/o must have been a butcher in a former life, judging by his use of wire cutters, done with wild abandon. While splicing in some repairs on a few of the wires, I suddenly got this extreme burning pain near the inside of the left thigh. Note to self: Solder runs when hot & melted. Most certainly an attention grabber, especially when located in a rather tender area of the leg. During most of the work I'm seated on a small hydraulic stool so the repair being done is usually about chest high. The spot is smaller than the eraser on a wood pencil, but felt like it was the size of a silver dollar. Have to wear a bandaid just so I can put on shorts or pants.
