Hey Steve.
Did you leave before sun rise?
We stopped by in the AM and did not see your ride.
We couldn't stay because Joey got sick and started vomiting.

Saturday was a beautiful day indeed.

Looks like you had a great time. Unfortunately, that weekend I'm needed at the lakehouse getting stuff together every year. If not, I couldn't think of finer people to spend the weekend with!

Sure wish there was a way that group photos like this could be "captioned" so I would know who I was looking at. These are nice pics, but I just see a bunch of people I don't know, AND my buddy Dave R.  Undecided

Dave, i also recognized your beautiful lady (from the 'hat' party in the UP)  All of the others I do not. I'm sure that they all are good members, I've just never met them in person.

Yeah Dave, I figured it probably was Andrea, but I have never met her so my statement is accurate.  Roll Eyes

George, even after not going to bed till after midnight (1am my home time), I was awake at 5:20, and on the road by 6:00...  Close to 500 miles to my place, and I wanted to beat traffic.

Hope my buddy Joey is feeling better.

...Twas a great time with good friends and a ton of food..

....after everyone got done eating, some of the guys wandered out front to check out the bikes..

....Like Dave said, he and Andrea rode their F6B there, and he kept trying to get me to take it for a spin. But Im like a lot of guys and always feel kind of funny, taking someone elses bike out. But no matter how many times I said no, Dave kept insisting, until finally he just wedged the keys in my arm and said....I,ll be out back relaxing when you get back.

.....Well....who can resist that ? ....I threw a leg and turned the key and. . ....suddenly..

.....ALL thoughts of getting another Valkyrie suddenly vanished in the breeze.

......And yes Dave.....I do blame you personally.. .  Roll Eyes

. .. ....did I happen to mention I like this bike in black ? ..  coolsmiley

You guys peaked my curiousity so much on the F6B that today I went to the nearest Honda dealer and had a matte all gray new 2015 just came in Deluxe model having the new cruise control, passenger backrest, heated grips, and something else cannot remember.  Only thing it needed was a taller windshield and a rear luggage rack much like Dave's pic above.

Only had 29 miles on it and they let me drive it.  All I can say is WOW.

First gear redlined guessing 40 mph over 6K rpms, didn't have time to look and 2nd gear was OFF well over 60 mph.  Probably shouldn't do that on a new F6B, but what the heck, wasn't going to be mine.  Dealer said out the door price 21.5K - OUCH!!!

Salesguy said some interest from 2013 F6B owners are coming back in thinking about trading to a 2015 to get the deluxe package costing about 1K extra and getting the heated grips and more importantly the electronic cruise control which I used for 3 miles or so and was nice to have.

Biggest issue I had was the instant just barely let out of clutch and it snaps you back in your seat NOT having to give it hardly any throttle and was NOT as smooth shifting since was not used to the snap back in your seat response of the engine between gear shifts.  Would have to get used to that for sure since use to my 2001 Valk I/S being smoother between gears (not as snappy), at least for me with not as much whiplash effect.
Plus, it felt weird not having the fairing move with me around turns had to get used to that but after a few miles was fine, just felt very weird with only handlebars moving was a tad tipsy cornering a bit.

They had a new 2015 40th anniversay edition Goldwing I was drooling over and unable to drive, but was there a long time they said in the showroom and needs to move it.  Did not have the ABS system, but air adjustable shocks and that fall in love red/blacked out 2-tone with black rims.  I loved that color, but the upright too far forward seating position turned me off big time.  I much rather preferred the F6B seat/handlebar placement sitting you more back and not as straight up forward more as the Goldwings are.  Ride was very firm but not harsh and the seat was pretty darn firm but not as firm as the new Valk I sat on which I didn't like for seating/handlebar positioning.

Get this,  the new 2015 red/black 40th anniversary edition was only 23K out the door pricing (wanted to move it) and the F6b also a 2015 in matte gray all over was 21.5K out the door.  I'd still get the F6B even though I prefer the Wing red/blacked out edition better.  Stock radio front speakers were fine cranking up to around 26 out of 30 to hear it effectively over the too low of stock windshield, but played fine for me.   Oh yah,  also would prefer larger cobra style driver's floorboards like my 2001 Valk I/S has, just felt weird with those tiny footpegs as OEM on the F6B was not use to.

Who else is paying or will pay for a new 2015 model with deluxe cruise package with passenger backrest and heated grips 21.5K???? NOT me, but will once I find a used 2015 deluxe F6B in 5-7 years down the road for say 11-12 grand.   cooldude

I'm still digging my 2001 Valk I/S though but not as much WOW factor off the line up to much more than the posted speed limit of the F6B.  Just glad I did not hit much over 60 much in 2nd gear, pretty impressed.  Biggest issue for me with wife on back is the jerky shifting (too much instant torque) of the F6B am sure her head on back would hit my helmet when riding 2-up shifting thru the gears hard.

they had one Valk 2014 black model on showroom floor and was marked down to 13K grand, still think there is wiggle room to go down some more on that rocket ship.

they seemed pretty impressed with the 2015 F6B deluxe pricing at 21.5K out the door price was a tad over 23K msrp they said.  Said they sell every one they get in pretty darn quick much more so than the new Valk and new Goldwings.

Hey Cookie, consider a leftover 2013 F6B Deluxe. No cruise, but they have the heated grips, center stand, self cancelling turn signal and passenger backrest. They can still be had for under 15K. My levers are also adjustable so you can adjust that clutch more to your liking.

AND Honda is offering $2500 of Honda bucks on the 2013's. That buys all the "must have" accessories to get you started.

I don't blame you one bit, 13K would be a steal of a deal I think if any 13's still around.  I can live w/o cruise for that much price variance.

By the way, nice burgers, 80/20?  I prefer the cow cooked though to not mooo anymore.   Wink

I've tried 90/10, but no fat content makes them too dry inside. 70/30 is too fatty with too much grill flairup.

Dave, nice to know the clutch can be adjusted, just felt odd a mere 1/2", if that,  of letting out the clutch and you were off like a rocket all of a sudden like.
