6 Airbox Intake Tubes

I have read much over the years regarding pulling the airbox for any number of reasons. It is evident that the original assembly included some type of sealant around the tubes (where they go through the box) which over time has become loose. If the old sealant wasn't loose before pulling the airbox it will definitely be once the airbox is pulled because of the pressure and bending on the tubes when pulling the whole thing out.
The one thing I have had trouble finding is if anything needs to be done to the area around where the tubes go through the airbox itself when reinstalling. Do the tubes themselves form a tight enough seal that nothing else needs to be done? Does some type of sealant need to be applied before reinstalling?

I've pulled and reinstalled my airbox twice and haven't done anything to try to reseal them.

I'm not saying that they didn't crack somewhat in the process, but if they did, I didn't worry about it.

It couldn't hurt to smoogie on some silicone sealant if you think it needs it

Thanks for the input. I didn't want to do a lot of work on eliminating possible vacuum issues to only find out I should have done something with the intake tubes going through the airbox.
