If you cannot respect yourself, or if you cannot respect the thing you say you believe in, how can you expect persons you are trying to influence to respect you, what you say or what you believe in.  Every major or monumental thing begins with something small, floods starts with a drop of water, journeys start with the first step, so the point is when you take that snow ball and roll it down the hill it can become a major issue. Disrespect and hatred isn't any different, difference is the Muslims respect what they believe in.  Americans have TV and the Internet to believe in, and don't even feel the rug being pulled out from beneath them. American refuse to see the progression that things happen in, they just want to see the end product.  And when things goes South they look for excuses and Sacrificial Lamb and become experts after the fact. In the next breath they can't understand why everyone hates us.  The End!!

People choose to take offense way to quickly......and most, just cause they can.  People all to often look for things to be offended about.

Below are 2 sights that have that prayer as a joke, its not real by any means and God does have a sense of humor. He created us didn't He, no really I am not offended by this at all if it had been true it would be different. If anyone needs a story from the bible that I believe kind of shows God's sense of humor below is one.

I understand that Dreamaker could take offense especially if he thought it was true. Sometimes we are sensitive to things that God is doing in our lives and we act it out in worldly ways. I have done this not understanding the conviction in my spirit. Moses was a good example of the conviction in his spirit but not knowing how to act it out.

Exo_2:14  But he said, "Who made you a prince or a judge over us? Are you intending to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" Then Moses was afraid and said, "Surely the matter has become known."

Moses knew that he was going to deliver God's people but he did not understand how, so he acted it out in the natural. We have other examples of this like the promise to Abraham about his decedents filling the earth. He and Sarah could not understand how this was going to be possible and considerable time had passed and they were old. Their solution was Hagar the maid of Sarah but we are still dealing with the consequences of that decision today. So in this kind of sensitivity to the calling of the lord ask God to explain why and how you have this feeling. Maybe its not just a wrong thought but a God thought. But don't expect all to understand your concern when God has given you the insight into a situation or idea.

To know God is to love God and sometimes He speaks to us and we don't understand.

there is a difference in the lifestyles of the north and south, my second wife is from marquette michigan, we moved up there after we got married and after 6 months i had had enough of those arrogant people and had to get back home to tx. so i dont blame you personally, its just the way ya'll are.. when we tell a joke ya'll take it personally, we are a happy go lucky kind of folks and ya'll are a serious kind of folks..i guess this thread got hijacked enough...

I've lived in Texas and traveled all over the South. Been all over the U S of A and met and talked with a LOT of folks. Humor is "different" in different parts of the country.  Thought initially when I read it the first time it was funny and I still think it's funny. BUT-there's that word again!-BUT I KNOW I have a warped sense of humor. You are NOT required to like it and if you git yer knickers in a wad git over it. There will ALWYS be some humor that pisses people off. In his life George Carlin pissed people off every day and he laughed all the way to the bank.    Sides-if the dems git another potus-NONE of us will be laughing very much.  RIDE SAFE.
