I’m looking ahead to the cooler Florida months Nov-Mar. The lowest temp I remember riding was 38° but that is usually a very damp and feels temp that goes right through to the bones. In Florida however the temps usually come up midday. I run hot and will usually shed off jackets before most I ride with. What I want to get away from is the very heavy Joe-Rocket winter jacket I have and use the mesh Honda jacket and use a liner, that way I can get away from the all or nothing problem. Starting the day or ending the day with the liner in and take it out midday is better for storage also. I am looking for brand suggestions that will break the wind big time and do the job of keeping me warm. Fleece?

The mesh jacket didn't come with a liner? Bought 2 mesh jackets over the years. One was a noname brand and my current perforated leather is a Joe Rocket. Both came with zip in-out liners.
Wouldn't a jacket within a jacket be cumbersome? How about a thin fleece pullover or zippered long sleeved fleece jacket. Fleece is warm and thin, not bulky. Misplaced the liner that came with my full leather jacket and have worn fleece underneath and my upper body and arms were warm. As the day goes on and gets warmer, just take off the fleece.

Yes both come with liners however, the amount of time wearing both would be short. Cumbersome yes but the heavy Jacket is unreal by itself even with the liner out and again one other important point is the storage. Riding two up most the time and moving from the Interstate to the next gen valk we lost storage that I do not want to recover. We are local riders.

Long sleeve under armor. Thin, light weight, comfortable in wide range of temps.

Sheffjs.......I have the Honda mesh jacket...the one with the big red Honda wing on the back. I have two inners that I'll wear with it. Either a simple cheap hoodie (helps keep the air off of my neck) and/or the separate liner that I have. The cheap hoodie still let's some air through when it's really cold, but that separate inner I have blocks all the air. Sometimes I'll wear one or both with my mesh....depends on the temp.
I got the inner out of a leather/biker shop (they sold them separate as a stand alone jacket accessory)....don't remember the brand name...and I'm at work right now, but I'll check it late tonight after I get home and post back to let you know.

well I know it's not a mesh or a liner, but I like wearing a denim jacket, no liner, no zipper, is light weight but tough enough (to an extent) in the event you do meet the pavement, and if you have bags it stores easy and if no bags, a tie down will secure it and not have to worry about it getting wrinkled or creased.
Mine's a Lands End, it fit nicer than the Levis.
it may not be what you're looking for but I just thought I'd throw it into the thread just in case.
