Side covers and other Plastic

I have put in a request with a Shop that does 3D scanning and 3D Printing to see the cost of reproducing some side covers and other plastic bits from the bike.  I am curious as to what it will cost to 3D print ABS parts for a Bike.
What sort of interest would there be for ready to paint parts?
I am hoping to hear back from them soon.

Now a new set of Corbin side covers would really go over big. You still would have to fab up a mounting bolt hole in the center.

In my experience the 3D scans are bloody expensive.

I was going to do this in vacuum forming. A lot simpler and a lot cheaper. Figured I would take a good piece, vacuum form around it, and use that as the negative.

I have asked for pricing on a production run of more than 10 pieces.  Just looking to see the interest level.  Higher volumes bring down the unit cost.
The sample I sent him was a Right hand side cover.  I hope to have an estimate today.  If the per unit price is decent I will offer them for sale on here.  They will be bare ABS plastic.  He says he can do a variety of sizes and of course more complex parts will require increased price due to scan complexity.

Well the pricing was far higher than I even expected both for the original scan of the part and the manufacturing.
The company, however, is in the process of developing a short run injection molding process.  They actually 3d print the mold then injection mold the parts.  The molds are only good for about 100 copies though.
The rep did tell me that the prices for finished pieces is falling fast and it becomes more mainstream and more competition in the market.

Let's just say that for a run of 10 parts I could have bough a 3d printer myself.
