When Don asked me, "What do you have on your Valkyrie that's not on other Valkyries?", that's what I showed him -Mike "Bought new from Honda of Laurens for $135... "

I'm confused Mike. Are you saying it's worth $600? Don't get me wrong, obviously it's worth what anyone will pay but, while I can see it's original cost being reasonable $600 is a stretch in my book.

The Cobra radiator side covers were around $350 when you could buy them new. The other billet stuff was pretty high, too... the magazine article explains to me why it is expensive to produce stuff like that I have numerous bits of Cobra billet on my bike. I got good deals on many of them, I got my radiator side covers new out of the cut-out bin at Honda of Laurens around 2008. I paid the going eBay price for the lightbar and the fender rail. Some people just HAVE to have them... . -Mike "maybe they're fools, Ida know..."

I had no idea what they went for new. Glad you got good prices on yours. I've gotten good deals and probably overpaid at times for something I REALLY wanted too.

Heck, Dave, I know that. The word came up in this thread, though, I was just running with it...

I have them on Deerslayer but I didn't document what I paid for them. I'm sure it wasn't anything like $350 though. I could see me putting out around a hundred...

It's mostly for show, built on a Corbin pan and not real comfy for long rides. The pics below are my daily ride seat, made on a naked Ultimate King I bought from Des and had the same guy cover it along with a matching backrest. The tank and fender bibs are the same in both pics. Close up shot.

Can't remember how long ago or what I paid but I always felt reflectors belonged on bicycles not motorcycles so when I had a chance I snagged a set. I've got a set of billet Cobra swing arm covers still in the packaging, I was a ebay hog for a while.

They're $10 at O'Reilly's. I've lost a couple over the years and changed from double-sided tape to the heavy duty velcro circles. They seem to hold better and if I do lose one, easy to replace.
