Well the Valk is down for a few days.  One of the Tach lights went out.  Is that little bugger some standard number?  Need to get back on the road for the BMW rally in the FingerLakes next weekend.
Any of our members in that area?

Jess Tolbirt

that light bulb is a 192 or 196 something like that,,both work but the higher the number the brighter the light,,,i think i put 196's or 197's in mine,,,

I got to add my laughs too.  :2funny: :2funny: :D

I think I may have riden mine before with burnt out bulbs. Seemed to run fine but what do I know?? You've been spending too much time with the Beemer's Ferris. You can actually ride a Valk with a bulb burnt out.

Sorry to hear this.  A burned out bulb in the tach can lead to a variety of issues, such as bad gas mileage, leaking blinker fluid, etc.

Sorry, the door was open and the smart-ass walked in!

Hey leave the guy alone.

Having a bulb out is rough on wheel bearings, the bike is lighter on one side than the other.
However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

you guys are hash......................

Good responses...LOL. The bulbs are 194 BTW. Available about anywhere.
I ride a motorcycle because nothing transports me as quickly from where I am to who I am.

Actually, It was such a such a pain to get to the lights that I did not want to reassemble it until I had the bulbs.  When I took it out I thought I had the correct replacements in hand. If I had not had a "spare" motorcycle I would have put it back together but, then it probably would have been a year before I took it apart again.
The dash lights are 73 or 74(5mm).  Does anyone know if the indicator lights are the same or are they 194's (9mm)?
I am very picky about the bikes balance.  As was stated having a bulb out on one side is not good.  I 've had to adjust my balance point for dressing left or right!  Girls are lucky that way.

Not to add to your problems but do you realize that as you use gas the tank draws down more gas from the left side than the right side?  :2funny:

Ride straight bro,

Ferris Leets

Captain,
I thought the petock was in the middle of the tank?

You "dress" left or right depending on the size and weight of a little teeny...... bulb?

Varmintmist

Make sure the new one isn't brighter, or it will be "lighter" on the right side after the repair and you will have to reset again.

No, I didn't ride it after I removed the bulb.  I was talking about how the saddlebags or trunk is loaded.  If I get 2 or 3lbs on one side I dress to the other.  Seems to balance the ride better.
As far as the brighter light goes thats just plain silly!!

I looked all this stuff up once upon a time:

Still does not mention the indicator lights for the CF?

Third block up from the bottom, they're listed as LCD module Lts (74 or a 70).
