Ride Saturday June 13????

Jerry had suggested that I set up a ride to The Freezer, a Seafood Restaurant in Homosassa. It is about a mile from Neon Leon's, where some of us have been before. This Saturday would NOT be a good day to pick that Restaurant, as they are one of the 1st stops on a large Poker Run that day. The 20th might make that a good destination.

However, I did find another restaurant on a nice twisty road, in Ozello, FL. The place is called Backwater Fins, and they serve Seafood, Gator, Steaks, Gumbo, and Jambalya. Parties larger than 5 should call ahead, and they will set up a table/tables to accommodate the crowd. I personally have no experience with their food, or if their prices are in line with the quality/quantity of the food. Their website is   www.backwaterfins.com   The waitress/bar-maid that I spoke to said that the menu was not posted, but I just checked, and it is there. The weekend Menu ends with page 7, and anything beyond there is only available on weekdays, at Lunch time. Check it out, and post below if you are interested in going.

I had someone tell me they love this place and the food is great.   I don't know the person so not sure if it's true?  have a good time, we have plans already.

Not familiar with that one, but a little farther down the same rd is Pecks Old Port Cove.
139 N Ozello Trail, Crystal River, FL 34429   Ate there quite a few times, food was good.

FYI, Pecks, Backwater Fins, and Castaways (North of Crystal River) are all owned by the same family. I have been to Pecks, but it has been about 25 years.

Big time constraint for us, we have to be back real early Saturday in Sarasota for my Mom and Dads 60th wedding anniversary on the Marina Jack dinner boat along with my sister and her husband. We will ride real early for Breakfast and scoot back if we ride at all. 

I went to Tampa General tonight to visit Mike.  He knows who I am and was having a good day. They will put a VAD pump in on Thursday afternoon. So it is a big deal open heart surgery.  Never been to TPA Gen b4 dang that is a maze inside.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it, Jerry, but your Mom and Dad are TRULY more important. I am sure that we all wish thyem a Happy Anniversary!!!!
