Had to say goodbye to our buddy, Hap, last November.  He was with us for 10 of his 12 years and he was our great companion.  He loved going horseback riding with my wife and inevitably found his way to the river or horse trough for a dip afterwards.  Our golden boy is missed; we'll see him later on down the trail.
