Newbie Valk owner here, I've been looking at them for years and finally bit the bullet.  2001 I/S with 53k on it.  Runs great, looks great (at least to me) rides great.  When I get on my VT1100 now it seems almost like a toy.  As soon as I figure out how to post a pic I'll post it.  Hope all you out in Spearfish are enjoying yourselves, ride safe and have a stiff on for me.

Here we go, finally figured it out.  I think the first mod is going to be the back rest.  Glad to read I don't have to replace the seat but can install one.

Nice colors on that bike.   Don't remember seeing those colors before.   But then, I don't get out much.  Wink  Welcome.   cooldude

May have, the dealer out of Watkins wouldn't tell me.  I'll have to see if I can track the vin.  Would you know who used to own it?

CB/antenna and trailer hitch, ready to tow for the long haul.

congrats - enjoy!!  cooldude

One of the biggest things I like over my other cycle I had was you can just leave it in 5th gear doing 25-30 mph and not have to downshift gears being lazy.  Try that with HD's or all other V-twins, even 4 cylinders, and won't happen.

INteresting paint job combo, never saw that one before.

You got a super great bike there Ramie, it was mine.  Anything I have to tell you on the bike isn't bad nothing but good.  For me it was time to move on to 3 wheels, but then we kept my wife's Valk tourer for some 2wheel fun when we want.  I'll be kind-of off-line for a week but when I can we'll chat more about it and tell you the history, long story short I put 96k on my first I/S and 44K on yours.  Used to be active in the VRCC and VOA clubs, good people great sites to learn stuff......  Often ride with folks from metro and Clearwater.......

Beautiful bike man.......you made a great decision.

I am still amazed at the throttle response on this beast and it never fails to put a smile on my face.

Jealous of that paint job!!

I love HD's too but no Harley I ever rode felt like this!

Great to hear from you, look forward getting some more info.  So far love the bike.  Always wanted one from the first time I saw them.
