Trump is in!

I think it's a great thing.  He says it like it is.  Will cause the other candidates to face facts and answer to them.  Especially on foreign relations.  Says he beats China in deals all the time yet politicians have lost to China in every trade agreement so far.

Looking forward to his candor and watching the others react to him.

With friends a story came up about a local high school school who put on a fashion show at one of his golf clubs for charity.  He happened to be there that day, watched and listened, then covered the bill so that all the money raised went to the charity, and then even donated.  One of the others said "That's so out of character, knowing who he is."  I asked "Do you know him personally?"  "No, just what a hear and see on TV".   coolsmiley

Nope, not a joke that he's running.

And here we go, folks.  Instead of giving a real reason, such as OSS did in his post above that would make him think twice, we get this.  It gets old before it even starts.  What was it in his speech that you disagreed with exactly?

Hilary running, now THAT's a joke.  The smarter half of a team that lies, cheats, steals, oppresses, schemes, all at the expense of those they claim to help is running for president, and people support her.  So, unfortunately it's not a funny joke.  Jokes on them.  (all accusations made are easily accounted for on the first page of any google search)

I agree Gary.  He's not my cup of tea for the post, but his (hopefully strong) input will push the discussions/politics/issues in the right direction.

I'll take anyone on the right that can beat the witch.

Only one reason needs to be stated regarding Mr. Trump's joke-of-a-campaign that is over before it starts; still reaching for those multiple 15 minutes of fame and hoping that someone out there thinks he's human and not a pod.

Here are reasons you asked for:

He won't even come CLOSE to winning the nomination of the Republican party as their chosen representative for being elected as President of the United States.  He does not relate, translate, nor ingratiate to the majority of Republicans and Independents across the nation...the entire nation.  He's a pretender to a throne that he cannot and should not occupy for the sake of  the country.  He's a businessman and opportunist, not a leader of the free world that would inspire the country to advance our standard of living and civilization.   He couldn't carry enough votes in the middle of the country to get anywhere close to 40% of the electoral college in a general election.  Rural America doesn't trust his Joisy/New Yawk attitude and bull feathers as far as they could throw him over a haystack.  Donald Trump?  In Iowa?   2funny

We're not talkin' Clintons here (you are correct, sir, she's no bargain and I won't encourage anyone to vote for her), but the thread you started was about Trump; stick to your topic, please.  Bringing a joker from the bottom of the deck and calling it an ace in a serious poker game is just not wise.

Over and out. Lips Sealed

And for God's sake!  The guy needs a decent toupee!  Now THAT'S a joke! Smiley

Quote from: Donald Trump
I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun.

Yeah, I'm a single issue voter in the sense that if you're against the full 2nd amendment, I'm against you. I'm out.

issues such as 2nd amendment, the border, the debt, tax rates for business and individuals,
social security etc  even abortion roe v wade and same sex marriage issues vs Civil unions

I don't think he's presidential material either. But he will force issues that the others won't.  That's gonna be the benefit as I see it.  As I did state in my first post.

Ross Perot was not a joker?

Your second post was much better than your first, thanks.  But it's still all opinion.

Here's one at least. Many of the quotes are old but I have a hard time believing someone has "evolved" on the major issues THAT much:

Here's the Trump on Gun Control one specifically: http://www.ontheissues.org/Celeb/Donald_Trump_Gun_Control.htm

I can't wait for the debates.

I can just imagine Trump getting up there and telling the likes of Rick Santorum or Rand Paul.....YOU'RE FIRED.   coolsmiley

However, by the time we get to the general election, I wouldn't be surprised to see this......

While I understand all the negative comments about Trump I have not seen anything offered that is any better. We have a black president that is destroying the US he got elected on hand outs and the fact he was black but absolutely no previous info on him at all. At least we have a track record with Trump and he was able to keep his butt in money without bilking the tax payers. I don't know of any other president before that could make that comment. I dont disagree with the comments but what we have had has not worked maybe this is the hope and change that was promised in the last couple of elections.

And so the intercinine feeding frenzy begins.

Every drop of blood shed and every slice of flesh exposed will be grist to the lefts millstone grinding out anti Republican prose.

Those on the left will sit back and laugh at the absurdity of the right self imploding - AGAIN.

The one thing that would be great would be at the debates he will force
the other runners to put up or shut up.
He wont get elected but hoping he makes people think before they
pull the lever for another give away dem.

Trump did hit the nail on  the head about Bush the other day.  I would go for any Repub that gets into the race before Jeb.
