Well I'm sorry about that.  I didn't analyze and process my thought behind it before I posted. Smiley

Phonies
Deviants
Celebrities

You can add your own person/persons to each of the descriptions.

Unless there aren't any currently being reported in the national press.

To me, it means that all of the 'celebrities' and 'professional singers' who think they are so great and then screw it up, have nothing on this little girl. Very refreshing. Thank you for posting this.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to the little girl as a Phonies, Deviants. I thought she was good, seen her on TV when she sang.

Dreammaker, in my case, at 87 years of age,  I learned to not take myself too seriously.  A number of times I thought myself right into a corner.   I've learned to relax more, go easy on myself for making mistakes, and quite frankly, I have reached a point where I feel very comfortable in myself.

I'm reminded of the time at work, where I was full of myself for hand carrying a million dollar request for expenditures, created by me,  around for the brass to sign.

I got back to the office and was told by my boss to call plant maintenance and get someone to unclog the urinals in the rest room.  I found that was a good time to laugh at myself and I've been doing it ever since.

Sorry to hijack the thread................ no, Im not, it's my thread. Grin Grin Grin

Oh, BTW, the title was "A welcome break.................."

Sorry brother, but it sure didn't come across that way to me. Impressive young lady and did a much better job than many so-called pros.

My problem is I think too much, I tend to be analytical, always trying to figure out what makes the world work. Thing is, sometimes the most obvious things just go over my head, so I ask questions, and I guess it sometimes comes on confrontational. It is clear in my head, but just can't seem to put the words in the correct order out there. Thank God I don't work in Congress!!

Dreamaker, I suggest that you go sit on the shore of that very fine lake, that I can see from I27 when I travel up your way,  just sit.  You're in mighty fine country in Michigan.

I heard a great rendition of The Star Spangled Banner sung by someone who has more love for her country than the representatives in DC.
Send chills down my spine when I hear it.
