Not bad, they fixed a meniscal tear, cleaned up some debris and "Traumatic Arthritis" Never heard of that. They left the ACL alone, it was "frazzeled" not torn. All done arthroscopicly . 90 minutes because the anesthesia takes a while to work on me. Funny, I have not had a drink in 34 years and yet they fret over the dosages. The first shot they gave me (Valium), OMG that's some good stuff. Patty does not like it to much, all filters get turned off and I don't have that many to begin with. Should be able to ride in a week or two with a lot less pain. Well Bed time for Bonzo, Meds doing the talking LOL

wish you the best for a speedy recovery.
not so sure 2-3 weeks will cut it though more like 4 weeks unless very minor tear/surgery. My minescus was pretty bad dr. said and that next day after surgery and meds wore off later that first night had to use crutches 100% to walk on for 1 day. 2-3 days after that could walk all on my own with no crutches. That first night after surgery next day sucked was in pain, hope you do not have that pain the next day. But, it took near 1 month for me to be able to support that much weight of the Valk on my left knee to feel safe doing so. Took 2 weeks to feel comfy to mow my own yard walking that far was only age 40 at the time tops and fairly strong legs at least.
Do NOT rush it though if you think you can ride the Valk in 2-3 weeks, I think that is going to be pushing it.

WOW! I was lucky. Dr said I had a tear and set me up for a MRI. It took six weeks due to stupid Ins co. and Dr. office screw up. In the meantime knee got better. MRI showed a fracture of the upper leg bone at the knee joint. How it happened I don't but it healed up and no surgery. I hope you heal soon but be careful with the mc riding.

I'm with Patty, I hate the stuff. Makes me feel like crap and I don't have many filters anyway. Had 3 on my Rt knee thanks to basketball and football in HS. 1st time I was on crutches for 13 months. The last two only 3 weeks. The way they do things today makes healing so much faster.

Had both my knees completely replaced. One in July of 12 and the other Feb of 14. Did all my therapy at home and was back at work in a week on the 2nd surgery (I do have a desk job so that made it much easier). Was driving a week after the surgery. Had a great surgeon! Sooooooo much better not to be in that pain anymore!!! Bob

Take the pain meds if needed. Not sure what you have, but they may also have anti-inflammatory properties which is also good. We used to place patients in a contraption that would bend and unbend the knee the next day. Motion is good as it also lessens the build up of inflammation, when you can.
Hope you're feeling better!

I had surgery on my left knee perhaps 30 years ago, had 1/3 of the cartilage removed. Now that knee is a mess and needs to be replaced, but the injections they have now have pushed that back. Take your time in the rehab process and do the exercises.

Motrin is good, Just take it with food so it doesn't bother your stomach. You're gonna do great.
