Just did my first road trip on the Valk. Usually I take the Connie 14 for such ventures, but it is down for valve adjustments and I thought, what the heck, take the Valk!
So, up through the back roads of Nevada, Idaho and into Washington to Spokane, then down through Oregon, California and Nevada to return (115 degrees through Vegas.. bleh).
Learned a lot of things. Can't get enough of the Valk purrr.... I'll probably go deaf, but it is sweet. Had to throw the stock pilots and needles in it to regain fuel economy which became more important than throttle response rather quickly.
Pure solo, hooked up with a few others for a day (pictured). They were a good team, nice to ride with someone that knows how... They were all on BIG metric twins. The Valk took 3, and hung with the big Kawi... but who cares, great ride.
Wish I could have taken more pics, but I was riding and not shooting... stuck a couple 600 mile days in there, which is long an a cruiser (I had forgotten). The Connie gobbles up road faster and easier but that isn't always the point, now is it.
Love my Valk....
