Has anyone had a "drivers only" Russell seat made for your Interstate?  How much did it cost?  I don't carry passengers and don't want the full front/rear seat.  Also thinking this will be less dollars involved.

After all these years, I'm still searching for a solution that will allow me to go more than 50 miles before I start wanting to stop for a few minutes.  It's not just my butt, but my lower back and hips also.

PS
I currently have the 4pc Ultimate Big Boy.

I have both but you could do the drivers only...I'm not sure how much. You would have to go to their site and price it. I could help but hate using my phone to surf the net. I'll be home Tues night.

I was at their site before, but somehow missed the pricing section.   uglystupid2  Seen it now.

I wished there was a way to know if their seat would finally fix the problems I experience.  I had a Mustang setup before going with an Ultimate.  Man, I have put a lot of $'s into seats.

Told the wife that we should just trade the bikes in on a Slingshot.   Wink

Steve, I understand completely. Most love and swear by their Ultimate seats. But I've been that route. I had the Ultimate Big Boy and I had butt burn after the same number of miles as my stock Interstate seat. I really like Des and think he's a class act. I got a refund and then got the Russell. It was made for me to my specs. I could for the first time ever ride from tank to tank on an I/S. They also have a long lenient period for you to return it. I'd say few do. I would say go for it. You can see my seat in the rotating sig pics.

Yes...It is a tad cheaper by maybe $110 - $200 bucks to have just the  drivers RDL  built.. But it will also depend on what you have  as the covering...I went with ALL Leather..
I had  my RDL built back in  fall of 2005..The saddle now has over 150K on it and still looks great !
I love it ..They moved me up 5+" closer  to the tank...

Here is a better shot of  the saddle...

This saddle I had built in 2007
This is my solo saddle  that they built for me with 6" closer to the tank.
So they could put the backrest hardware in to it... It's the only one like it... angel

it also has and I/S tank....So they did all the mods so it looks nice ..IMHO..

We love our RDL saddles... Highbinder has 2  saddles as well...
But all  built on solo saddles....

As for riding  1000 miles in a day they are GREAT.... NO sore or numb rear ends.... angel coolsmiley
