Yes there was. I was trying to point out by example how many people view that banner up north. An opposing view. I was jumped on like I was a raging lunatic. Nobody wanted to hear what I had to say. This is a very closed minded group. I received numerous emails that weren't friendly.....far from it. I usually find that with uneducated people, might be the case here. Quote the posts then. And those where you were specifically called anything that can be categorized as "calling you names." (A childish term but relevant I suppose) Make your case with proof. Xtracho, I know there have been posts like he is describing. Willow and the other moderators are pretty good about removing offensive stuff. Which is a good thing. It doesn't help our community to have it hanging out there. |

And that's part and parcel of the discourse. As far as nasty emails....well, that is over the top IMO. I would never do that. I'm as transparent as anyone can be. Hell I'm not smart enough to be otherwise (hence his "uneducated" remark maybe). Nor am I so naive to believe that the entire world will like me or what I say. Conversely, nor should the entire world assume that I am going to like them or what they have to say. And I am in agreement with others meathead. Your civility is notable among many of the members. Thanks for that.  I must admit that I fall off that wagon occasionally. I purposely ignore the member in question. His history is replete with nasty commentary in an otherwise civil thread. Someone posting comments like that every once in a while is tolerable, even acceptable. But I refuse to read the comments from someone like that whose every post, up until the day I hit the ignore button, was chronically full of vitriol and just down right nastiness. |

To be fair there were just a few posts and part of a post that were removed in that thread. If my memory serves some were specifically what was described. |

It doesn't take very long until I am called a wide assortment of names, and the state I live in gets attacked. Then the thread gets shut down. Daddyo....you don't love to stir the pot...you love to piss people off. You call them names and insult them. You post nothing on this board except inflammatory, insulting and derogatory posts. I can't ever recall you posting anything positive or any post from you trying to help another member or simply providing information regarding Valkyries....just more of you trying your best to piss off the folks on this board as much as you possibly can....then you crawl back in your hole crying that everyone is being mean to you. THX I asked my wife to take her wedding ring off and she didn't want to, and who am I to argue, so I did my VRCC duty and searched some more, and found a tattoo less lass in a rebel flag with a belly button ring but no wedding ring visible, so hope I've covered it all now... I tell ya'll what, all this searching I've been doing, and the South ain't the only thing that's gonna rise again!  |
