There is a NC church now flying the Christian flag ABOVE the American flag.

I do recall while in the Service, the Christian flag was flown above the American flag during chapel services. If I'm wrong, correct me, but doesn't that show that the Armed Services were (were being the defining word) recognizing that our Nation was under God as in "In God We Trust",  "Under God" (as in the revised Pledge) ?

When I see the firestorm over the Confederate flag, the ignorance, The PC, and the purposeful intent on dividing this "Great Melting Pot" I wonder what it'll be like with the SCOTUS decision on marriage, and the undeniably pressure, hate, and discrimination against Christians.  Yes, I said HATE. However, just like in '1984' they turn that around to say that we, Christians, hate.

The local paper, the News -Sentinel (normally conservative) says that the SCOTUS decision on marriage is no big deal, no lives will be lost, etc, etc.  I think that they will be wrong.

As a Christian this is the line in the sand.  If I'm prevented from worshiping in the church of my choice, I will be reminded of the Oath that i took in the Service and the Oath that i take every year as a sworn in member of the Board of Works. However, the object of the oath might be
different.

If this would happen AND I had a flagpole where I'm at, the order of flags would be Christian Flag at the top, below that the Gadsen flag, and below that the American flag.

The American flag still stands, and, as a Veteran, I respect it and I would never burn it in protest.  However it seems to  be only a symbol of what our country was intended to be, not what it is becoming..................  I am saddened.

All of the three branches of our intended Republic form of government, are no longer working as checks and balances.

I wonder if we, the informed voters and the last resort, can bring it back.

I guess I'm way out in left field but I have far more.important things going on in my life than the order of flags on poles.  In my opinion, it's your flag pole so put whatever flags in whatever order ypu want.  Isnt that "your right?"

Seems like arguing over the color of that weird dress but with flags......

The flag was made before this country decided to go secular. It was a time when all knew that Gods divine hand was on this nation and the Founding Fathers wanted Gods blessing and wisdom to guide this nation. For that and the fact that all who served in the military gave of themselves to preserve these ideals I still look at the flag in wonder. We need symbols to bring us back to the honor and ideals that men fought for and this country was founded on. Symbols are everywhere both good and bad, every major corporation has a symbol of that company that they unite and recognize. We have a symbol left to us by those who created a nation under God. We should still revere it, United we stand divided we fall, and its a symbol that can unite by the ideals behind it. Without it we are left to our own thoughts and demise.

Jesus said the Kingdom of God has come but He was not speaking of an actual physical Kingdom, but Gods Kingdom of men's hearts and wills to follow and love the Father and the ideals He has for men and that translates to the world being built as God would want for all men. That is how we got America. God living inside men and men allowing the Spirit that dwells in them regardless of personal wants and wishes to mold and fight for the desires God has for them. Each with his or her own wills making them subject to the will of the Father. This is true Christianity, this is the kingdom of God, This is how America was formed. By surrendering men's wills to darkness and evil desires, and the ruler of this world is how this country will die. Our home and reward are not here but in heaven and this we carry the power and will of God in our hearts and as we decide to follow is how much God will use us to change the current that is running wild through this country. God help us to change mens hearts to hear the words of God spoken to each one and they in turn would follow that call.

It is the end times, God did foretell of all these things in the Bible 2000 years ago and I don't believe He is done with this nation, that was built on His words, His blessings, His grace. But I think we need to start to stand up to the ones that seek to destroy this nation. The ones we were warned about by so many even some presidents. We also need to honestly pray for this nation and for the men who served and are serving. I think in the future they will decide the fate of many in this country. It is not the majority who want these changes but it is done by design by the same self serving corruption we see now. When one world government was mentioned in the Bible 2000 years ago I can only think that the Founders made laws and rules and put in words that would echo through the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and every other document that serve as a warning to us who came after that things are off track. We have decided to lay dormant and not hold our politicians feet to the fire so as not to answer for the atrocities that they have committed by undeclared wars and corruption in offices. We stand and watch and say NOTHING.  3 percent changed the definition of marriage for 97 percent so what could happen if the unity in say 55 percent start to make their voices heard.

The truth has never changed only mens hearts willing to follow have.

All this talk of flags, here's a case of someone arrested and charged with Arson aggravated with a Hate Crime for burning a flag: http://tinyurl.com/nmjghze

(Disclaimer - The flag wasn't his, so he SHOULD be charged with SOMETHING, but... a hate crime???)
