There is a NC church now flying the Christian flag ABOVE the American flag.
I do recall while in the Service, the Christian flag was flown above the American flag during chapel services. If I'm wrong, correct me, but doesn't that show that the Armed Services were (were being the defining word) recognizing that our Nation was under God as in "In God We Trust", "Under God" (as in the revised Pledge) ?
When I see the firestorm over the Confederate flag, the ignorance, The PC, and the purposeful intent on dividing this "Great Melting Pot" I wonder what it'll be like with the SCOTUS decision on marriage, and the undeniably pressure, hate, and discrimination against Christians. Yes, I said HATE. However, just like in '1984' they turn that around to say that we, Christians, hate.
The local paper, the News -Sentinel (normally conservative) says that the SCOTUS decision on marriage is no big deal, no lives will be lost, etc, etc. I think that they will be wrong.
As a Christian this is the line in the sand. If I'm prevented from worshiping in the church of my choice, I will be reminded of the Oath that i took in the Service and the Oath that i take every year as a sworn in member of the Board of Works. However, the object of the oath might be
different.
If this would happen AND I had a flagpole where I'm at, the order of flags would be Christian Flag at the top, below that the Gadsen flag, and below that the American flag.
The American flag still stands, and, as a Veteran, I respect it and I would never burn it in protest. However it seems to be only a symbol of what our country was intended to be, not what it is becoming.................. I am saddened.
All of the three branches of our intended Republic form of government, are no longer working as checks and balances.
I wonder if we, the informed voters and the last resort, can bring it back.
