Oh, goodness, that's tempting! It sure is a nice clean example of a GL1000. I just learned today that the GL1000 had more aggressive cams and peak horsepower than the GL1100 because Honda had not yet realized that the GL platform would be adopted as a touring bike. I would seriously love to own that bike!  cooldude

It's a beautiful bike  cooldude I'm curious what a supercharged 1000 would put out ? 125 HP ?

BonS, the early 1000's (75-77) had the hot cams...the 78 got a bit calmer profile, and it went down from there.  From what I have learned, a blower bike would have liked the 78 and newer cams.

Depending on how much boost that bike is putting out, it would be right around 100 hp.

Thanks for the info and correction. I've just been developing an interest, maybe I'd call it an itch, in these bikes and have a lot to learn about them. I didn't know that Honda was revising the engine's tune while keeping the displacement the same over those years. Good to know.
