There is absolutely no denying the climate is changing.  The debate is between the 98% of scientists that believe it's cause is man made and the 2% who aren't sure it's man made.

I'd really like to see the definitive list of the scientists from around the world who are pro and con  Cheesy

Climate has to change, thats its job. Always has and probably always will.

There are many scientists, real scientists, that are con on the man made thing and more seem to be jumping on that wagon especially since it has come to light that the previous data has been falsified.

But, the newest thing out to scare us is that the Cascadia Fault is way overdue to start making its newest move to produce a 9+ quake that'll destroy the North West. Its almost 100 years overdue. But, this is the experts speaking again.

And yet all those "scientists" in the 98% can't come up with ONE computer simulation that actually backs up the "Hypothesis".

Thanks goodness for the 2%!

A heating climate can actually trigger an ice age.  Higher temps and melting ice in the northern hemisphere weaken and slow the major ocean currents that flow from the equator northward.  Temperature between the latitudes and changes in salinity due to melting ice cause this slowing. These currents are huge engines that cause and regulate our weather.  The Gulf Stream  ocean current explains why Eastern European  (especially Great Britian) winter temperatures are much milder than the northeastern USA and southeastern Canada which lie at the same latitude. When the current weakens, warm water can no longer flow north, temperature drop and an ice age results. This is one result of a warming earth. Wide spread arid conditions are another because now more water is trapped in ice.  It's happened many time over the millinnia long before man appeared and natural events will cause it again someday. Scientific data collection of ocean sediments confirm this and also the length of time for each cycle and how long it took to go from non ice age to ice age.  It typically took centuries of gradual warming to affect this change.  We are now experiencing an unparalleled speed up of heating of the atmosphere. Temperature changes that took generations to change are now happening in years. Why? I don't know the answer for sure but to ignore evidence that it may be a known result of human activity that can be reduced is foolhardy.  Science isn't like religion. There is no ridged unchanging dogma so theories come and go but valid theories become facts due to observation and confirmation.  This theory of global warming MUST continue to be studied and the findings taken very seriously.  If the finding are not true the theory may then be rejected.  So far that hasn't happened.  GOP candidates pandering to the extreme right wing isn't a valid reason for denial.

Nope, didn't say that.  Said global warming can cause an ice age not global cooling.  Overall global temperatures may not change.  Lower northern temps are offset by higher equatorial temps because the ocean current also no longer brings cooler water from the north. In addition there is less cooling because so much water is trapped in the ice. Precipitation decreases, Equatorial temperature rise, arid conditions spread and populations starve or migrate.

Its called the Thermohaline, or, Oceanic Conveyor belt.  Its been around longer than we have.
