Wanted the dealer to look at the new 1800 hearing a slight miss on the right side and it was told to me that there was an inspection fee. They did change it to 0 when I flatly refused the fee. Anyone else hear of this?? What the poo!! It is 7 weeks old.

Sounds like a problem to take up with Honda. And a dealer to not patronize anymore.

let me guess, dealer found nothing wrong, stating 'normal operating condition'.
I get that all the time with my newer vehicles under warranty from most dealerships.

Just an attempt to boost profits. Some folks will actually pay it. Glad you challenged it. Word of mouth advertising is usually pretty effective, advise all your biker friends of what the Dealer tried to do, if enough complain and let the dealer know of their disapproval, it will go away.

Notify Honda Corporate. Find out if it is acceptable. Lodge a complaint if not.

Was charged a $25 fee, on top of the $50 mounting and installation fee, for a dealer to install a tire that I did not purchase there. I told him the fee was silly and that he was already getting paid his normal rate for installing a tire. And I wasn't told about the $25 until I was settling up at the counter. He wouldn't remove the fee and I've never been back.

His normal rate includes selling you a $175 tire for $300... -Mike

Mine adds a fee for shop, lube and supplies.
Since I didn't get any, I asked if they would please put mine in a bag so I could take it home with me.

Found the Velocity channel while flipping around the other night. A lot of restoration and classic car shows from Canada mostly. Anyway, a shop hired a new guy to do body work and a co-worker was explaining to him that they have to measure and document all the things they use so they can bill it to the appropriate car, including grams of bondo and sheets of sandpaper, etc. The new guy threw a hissy fit and they fired his butt.

Well, this shop, lube and supplies fee (may not be the exact words) gets charged to everyone in the shop bay, whether any get used or not. (just like communism)

I would have told them to unmount it seriously I would have then if they said they wanted to charge for that as they had not told you about the up charge in the first place they would be seeing me in small claims court
