hi all , so i did the rear caliper rebuild and new pads and i was just wondering does the rear caliper and rotor always run a little warm cause it seems to . also how full should the the master cylinder be.and one more thing that plastic float in the cylinder is there a right or wrong way for it to be installed. cause oe side of it seems to be wider than the other.just a few things i ponder . thanks all

I take it that you just replaced your pads, and did nothing else.  The new pads will have to run in so portions of them may be riding on the rotor, hence heat.  It's possible that the cylinders should be addressed, cleaned up with new seals.

Heat depends on your right foot.  If you are a heavy rear brake user then they will get hot.
Fluid level in the reservoir should be between the min and max markings. The float does have a correct and a wrong way. I can't remember which is which but I think the larger diameter end is up.
Make sure you bleed them well if you did a full rebuild.
