Locked and loaded. Tragic what happened but still not PC correct to say it was anything other than a young man with a gun. I guarantee this will not get the attention as the idiot in SC a few weeks ago

Gonna be honest here and ask, just how am I or anyone else supposed to trust a middle eastern transplant? I don't live among any and I frankly am not sure I want to at this point.
Have seriously considered a concealed carry lately because, I don't see this ending well, some one is going to bleed. Our immigration laws need to be toughened up and enforced. While there is always a chance I'll be blind sided, I am not feeling very trust worthy these days and am very cautious when anywhere but my home turf.

What bizarre times we live in... The US Attorney investigating this incident, Bill Killian, has previously argued that saying mean things about Islam online should get you prosecuted for violating Muslim's civil rights. http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2013/05/feds-suggest-antimuslim-speech-can-be-punished-165163.htmlAlso an ancillary note, please stay on your toes. I HOPE nothing else happens, but Ramadan ends tomorrow (Friday) evening at sundown. The beginning and end of Ramadan, from my understanding, are traditional times to make large... statements... in the name of Islam.

Yessir you can be prosecuted for saying anything not in line with the govt agenda. I'm about to think, just like Little Bill Daggett, "I suppose you know, (English) Bob, if I ever see you again I'm just going to start shooting and figure it was self-defense." IOW - Shoot the big beards and let God give em their 72 virgins.

Not that I think this'll do a whole lot of good but meh... If you're the type of person that likes to sign petitions and such, there are several running on the White House's official petition site to, as ironic as this might sound, arm our armed forces, but this one seems to be gaining the most traction thus far: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/allow-military-personnel-well-military-veterans-conceal-carry-military-bases-accordance-local-lawsAnother friend of mine had another idea - Try to get retired military to group together and just stand, legally armed, outside military installations (Especially soft targets like recruiting stations in suburban strip malls) doing the job the military isn't allowed to do anymore.

Or get sentenced to re-education, er I mean psychotherapy like they did to Dinesh D'Souza? But yeah, the fact that American citizens are now afraid to petition their government over legitimate grievances says something very powerful. Scary as hell, but powerful.

Whatever it is, he's just a lone wolf. We can't blame it on the religion of peace. This will take time to sort out the motive. That Roof idiot, well he represents what's wrong with the whole South and all those conservatives. The answer to end all racism was clear and swift. Yeah, I'm still ranting on that, but...
My heart goes out to the families of the Soldiers. These men left their home and did their duty by serving our country honorably. It's a shame on this country for them to die like that on their own soil. God bless them. Prayers for the Navy gal wounded by the coward.

Not sure why they think we are all fools, we all know what it's about, our brothers currently serving know what it's about. it's a fairy tale to those in power and the media, 'The Emperors New Clothes' if they say it enough they think we'll believe it. They pretend to support the veterans but inside I believe they despise those of us who served and serve now, just look at what happens with the VA, it's more important that the bureaucrats get their bonus and promotions then a vet should get some medical care. I also believe in a way they fear us just because they know we understand the truth and that if it ever comes down to it we will defend our land. To all those that currently sever, God bless and keep your heads down. Rick

Sadly, just learned the Navy sailor injured in the islamic attack has died. I have to commend the Oklahoma Gov. for quick, common sense action in arming the military inher state to protect the recruiting centers, as apposed to the knee jerk action of the tearful bullcrap of the South Carolina republicans.

When that thing happened in D C awhile back weren't those guards unarmed also? These days I M H O-ANY military installation or recruiting offices the folks at the gate or in the recruiting office SHOULD be armed-they NEED to be armed. Or is that entirely too cursed simple? mooslims have proved-are proving-attacks on AMERICAN soil are happening and WILL continue to happen! NOT that difficult folks-I had basic weapons training in the U S Navy. Forgive me-BUT an unarmed U S Military person is a TARGET! Again-I M H O-had ANY of those folks that died needlessly been armed the outcome would have been WAY different. To all of us that have served-we as a group KNOW what should have been done. To the 5 that died needlessly on AMERICAN soil-I Salute you. I've been awake to this "problem" since BEFORE 9/11. WHEN zackly will this sorry assed excuse for an administration wake up?

The base I work on, the guards at the gate are armed. Or, let me clarify. Under normal conditions (alpha), they'll usually have the civilian paid guards manning the gate checking ID's. Those guys wear a sorta military looking type dark blue uniform and aren't allowed to carry weapons. When the base goes into a higher alert (bravo, Charlie or delta.....we've been in real world bravo for quite some time now), they'll have military SP's manning the gate and checking ID's. Those guys are in military camo uniform and are armed....and sometimes, quite heavily armed too. Every once in a while, they'll even have an armed Humvee manning the gate too....but that's rare. But I agree with the point that now that our military are declared targets by the mooslums, most every military person while in uniform should at least be trained to use and be required to carry at least a side arm at all times. Or, they should at least have the option to carry if they desire. These are different times and different times call for different measures. Ask him if he liked guns, because you know if you like guns, you like to murder complete strangers. No Andrea, he liked islam, they love to murder complete strangers. Typical liberal reaction. Islam good, guns bad. Moooslum raised in the south....must be a redneck southern moooslum that loves pickup trucks and huntin' and killin'.

18 year old kid at my tire shop is getting on the bus Sunday to start basic training. He was supposed to be there at the recruiters office about an hour after the attack took place. His recruiter , who was in his office when the shooter attacked, came by the shop the next day to meet with him. We talked to him about the no guns in military establishments. He said they had to keep their personal weapons in their car, and of course were not allowed to have any weapons in the building. When the shooting started he had to fall back into the building (not very deep or big by the way) and wait, because, even though he was trained for similar situations, he had no options without a weapon. You could tell it pissed him off but he held his composure well and did not criticize any of his superior's decisions. He also mentioned that the weapons at the naval reserve station where the shooter killed 5 soldiers were stored in lockups, separated from the ammunition in other lockers, and only able to be accessed by a few senior personnel. We are being defeated from within.

When I was in the Corps, we were in full load at the gate. 45 hanging off the hip, M1's about 10 feet away in a cabinet.
The one on the hip had a clip in it but nothing in the chamber. If something came up, it wasn't too hard to draw, load the chamber and be ready to fire.
We were ready to drop em in their tracks.
I realize we didn't have any Moooslims in house back them. Well the violent ones were not in house.
