First of all I wish to praise the staff that puts these Inzanes together all the rest of has to do is pay a few bucks and enjoy ourselves.  But now that I have got hooked on Inzanes how long can we go?  Walking around the hotel in Spearfish all the bikes looked great and sounded better than ever.  Willie G. Davidson of Harley fame once said a good Harley should last twenty years, well I think these old valks will double that.  My summer vacation for a week used to be New Orleans drinking, and eating Creole food in my opinion the best food on earth.  And I always had a blast, but I decided to take a chance At Eureka Springs, Ark. my first Inzane and got addicted more fun than New Orleans in the summer and that's saying something.  Ive never met a Valkyrie rider I didn't like either, true I like some more than others but a pretty good group of people to be around.  I look forward every year to the next one  kind of like Disneyland for older folks lets face it if your 45 at an Inzane your a kid.  Anyway Im hoping we can keep it going for a long long time.  And I do hope the rumor of West Virginia for next year is true.

footman , look forward to IZ16. You will not be sorry. Putting faces and names together is interesting and some times shocking. The staff can not be thanked enough for all the work they do.
Everybody's help is needed to pull the event off. It is not just the planning , but the attendance as well. It is the largest gathering of Valkyries I have been to. I have been in the last four. I will continue to be involved as long as I am able to ride. After that , who knows.

       DO NOT MISS THIS EVENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure that INZANES will continue as long as folks participate, word of mouth, this forum and any other means of communication that gets the word out that there's a Valkyrie event somewhere but, I do have concerns about this forum and it's future.    The  names may change from one INZANE to the next but, it will continue.

I've discovered through word of mouth and by reading this forum that Facebook has become or is becoming the preferred method to communicate between Valkyrie riders about Valkyrie events.    Can't swear this is true because, I don't do Facebook but, that's what I'm being told.    What I do know is, I see ride reports and see pictures of events on this forum that were never announced on this forum.   Some of which I would have loved to attend but, if you don't know, you surely won't be going.

I honestly don't know what Facebook offers that this forum doesn't but, I sure wish those that do know would make a few changes to bring those folks that do use Facebook as their means of communication back to this forum.  From what I understand about Facebook, only the folks you allow to read (or befriend) your posts are able to read them.    This would be a good thing if, the intent is to limit who you want to participate or know about your event.   In that case, I don't think there is much the owners of this forum can do to change that.   Maybe the answer is I need to start doing Facebook but, I really like this forum and would rather not go there.   Undecided

As far as the Inzanes go-long as I'm able I intend to ride my I/S to these once yearly gatherings. You have more fun and friendship packed into 5+ days that I M H O is NOT available in but a few more spots where Valkyries gather and the other events are generally weekends. NOT dissing the other events at all cuz when Valkyrie riders gather a GOOD time WILL be had. And generally good riding where we go. Putting names with faces and solidifying friendships and riding and breaking bread with like minded people makes for a VERY interesting week and raising money for a good cause is the icing on the cake.  cooldude Far as facebook goes I have chosen to not participate. RIDE SAFE.

If we want InZanes to continue, we all (me included) need to step up and volunteer once in awhile (or often!). While I haven't been involved in the planning of an InZane, I've planned enough other projects to know what kind of effort level it takes to pull off a gathering such as InZane. My hat's off to the staff and all volunteers who have produced these in the past. There's a phenomenal amount of work put into them. If we all stand idly by and think, "someone else will do it," we'll have no one but ourselves to blame if one day there is no InZane.

Old2Soon - you ought to try the Valkyrie FB site, it's great. You can actually attach these things called "pictures" easily, and when you do, you get sometimes 40 or 50 responses from people all over the World.  It's amazing, and very user friendly.  CaribouHunter

I agree with old2soon concerning facebook. I do have a facebook account and read the Valkyrie facebook post, mainly to keep up on that end. I believe some members on this board, myself included,  fear that if more and more of us start using facebook, we could harm this forum, and the VRCC greatly.   Yes posting pictures are easier on facebook, but they are not really all that hard here. It's not as if we're busting rocks, all it takes is a few more mouse clicks and you got it.  JMHO

Guess I am lucky in that I can post pictures on here. Many are challenged by that process though.
I do believe it would be a good move to be able to do that on the web forum. Just sayin'
I know that the antique outboard site I go to is set up like this and the guys are almost all older folks. Very few can post a pic there and most wish it were easier.
Sorry for the temp hi jack.

and you dont even have to arrive on a Valkyrie

Heck strider and me (in different decades) and I am sure others have STARTED towards Inzane
only to end up in another vehicle, for me this time it was a rented Maxima

The folks here are the best you will find IMHO    In fact one member
(he actually got a kidney from another member) lent me a new goldwing valkyrie to ride one day

Another spent his whole winter fixing a members Valk from ANOTHER country and rode
it down to Inzane just to bring it back because it was his family

Others donated to buy a scooter for someone and the list goes on

Where are you going to find folks like that

Hope these Inzanes and get togethers of all Valkyrie riders continue as long as these bikes continue to be ridden

For those that are interested to know, the critical mass generally appears to be about three hundred.  More is obviously better.  The past few years we have danced near that number.

If you are one who hasn't yet don't comfort yourself with the plan that "there's always next year."  I hope there will be next year for many yet to come but that is not a guarantee.

Totally agree on this.  BikerGirl and I volunteered for two hours at the registration desk at Inzane XV.  By the time our two hours were up we had just about figured out the process and had finally become useful!  But, it did give us a chance to see how things worked and just how much is involved (full vs day registration, tickets, T-shirts) in pulling Inzane registration together.  I can certainly say that no one asked the same question!

In short, we enjoyed that two hours and they flew by.  Missed seeing the rodeo, but we felt a part of things and were glad to contribute.

Put us down for next year, McKenna! Cheesy

I've managed to do "something" on the volunteer side at all of them since Eureka Springs. Working the registration desk is a darned good way to put names with faces! And folks-iffin yer thinkin it's too much trouble and I'll miss a ride-1 hour of your time out of a week we are in attendance is NOTHING compared to what admin doe's to get this particular show on da road! Putting rides together getting a Motel lined up-you want us to put up HOW MANY motorcycle riders? Finding a worthy charity making SURE Motomama got a place to bake pies-I've organized weekend poker runs and I KNOW what a P I A that was. Admin-if I'm able to make 16 use me where you need me.  cooldude At 15 I missed the fallen riders ride do to volunteering. NOT a complaint at all-just the way the schedule crumbled!  2funny Sides-worked the desk with Motomama.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.
