Well at work Monday the boss and I did several surgeries then after our last case it was my time Undecided had a carpal tunnel release  ??? After my ride to Colorado in early June my right hand was Numb and stayed that way tickedoff so it was time. Flew to Dallas Tuesday morning for a meeting to keep up on my CME hours, can't scrub for two weeks anyway so timing was good. No pain meds needed to this point. Just hope hand is strong enough in 3 weeks to go for a ride because the boss is taking off for 6 days and I need some wind coolsmiley

Well, You know how to exercise it!   Roll Eyes   Couldn't resist, anyway take care of it. I always thought I would have it. Been a bass player since the late 60s and play with my fingers. Never a problem to date and that is as repetative as it gets.

this might sound stupid and korney but have you tried massage therapy.

a friend of ours has CTS and went to a real therapist and it worked wonders. they did ultra sound and massage treatments. it did not reverse it, but we were told it helped the pain and numbness.

Also have heard good things about Acupuncture too for CTS...from a real Acupuncturist.

good luck hope the pain and numbness goes away.

sure hope surgery releaves most of it and goes away to tolerate whatever is left.

I know how it feels somewhat and is very irritating at the bare mininum.

I thought I had it, but after spending 3-4 trips to chiropractor and nerve specialist they diagnosed it not as carpal tunnel but more than likely (not 100% sure)  pinched nerves in the upper neck/back/arm region causing numbness down my right arm and hand tingling sensation causing me to not even able to hold my right arm above my head to wash my hair, among other things, before numbness set it and arm feeling weak and like a ton of bricks.

I've got it for whatever reason 2 times now in my life and both times it frustrates me and gets me very upset that I cannot do some of the simpler things in life.

Yeah I have been in this business for30 yrs , no massage therapist could do,nothing for my condition.

Chiropractor can do ZERO FOR THIS CONDITION. No numbness down arm, just numb fingers. What you describe is cervical .
