The annual Texas VRCC hill country ride-in has been set for October 23-25, with Ground Zero being located at the Peach Tree Inn in Fredericksburg.

Friday will be the arrival day, with dinner that night.
Saturday will be for riding and Harvest Classic visiting during the day, and grilling burgers/etc. that night.
Sunday is departure day.

The Peach Tree has been a favorite over the years, with a grill out back that we've used for Saturday's dinner, a meeting room for gathering, and a courtyard where we have sat and swapped fish stories all night long.  The Harvest Classic is just up the road, with lots of good attractions, and of course the riding in the hill country just can't be beat.  I hope everyone can make it.

We have a block of rooms set aside. The rate is slightly higher than last year, because there's a wine festival that weekend, making it a "premium" weekend.  We are still getting a group discount on the rooms, though, so make sure you tell them you're with the VRCC.  If you want to book online, there are a separate group of rooms there, just put VRCC in the notes of your booking, or tell them when you check in, and they'll discount it at the time of check in.

I don't know if I could get the time off yet. But it sounds fun. If I can I'd like to bring my wife. Is there other wives on the ride ?

I would say that half or more of the bikes are two up, and there are several ladies riding their own.  Bring her!

I can find out a specific release date, but I'm pretty confident that we're limited more by them running out of rooms in our block, than by them releasing our block.

Sorry, that's what I meant. It will probably be month before I would be confident I could get the time off.

It's difficult to say how long they'll have some available.  I'll call over the weekend and ask how many are left, but even that won't give me much of a data point.
We've had folks stay at other hotels in town, and we've also had rooms open up close to the dates when peoples' plans fall through.
