And, all too soon the event was over.

Sadly, these folks made their way home where they are unemployed and living with their parents.

These people do things I would never do, I have to much respect for my body, maybe I am a wimp.
BUT!!! these things keep people young and old entertained, keeps them out of trouble, burning up positive energy. They don't go out and hurt people, if anything themselves, and they are having fun.

There are several slack line walkers working the Renaissance Faire circuit that I've seen over the years (Including one that does her act with a rat).

While they make their way through life in a very different way than most of us do, they are definitely working and earning their keep, traveling across the country almost full time and entertaining for a living, working several hours a day practicing their skills and developing new ones when they're not performing.

I don't know if the performers in this video do this professionally, but they were doing tricks far more advanced than the professional slack walkers I've seen perform, so I'd venture a guess that they are, or at least have developed a marketable skill they could make a living with if they so choose.

Very impressive, thanks for posting.

There was a time in my life when I would have tried that but, the doctors have intervened and now I'm required to wear a helmet when not being supervised.   The meds must be wearing off because that does look like fun but.........................  Aw yes, there's the nurse coming now with my new jacket.   Hmmm, what's all those straps on it?

 2funny 2funny

I don't wear a helmet (yet), but I am much more inclined to sit back and study every outdoor project (and some indoor) and try to figure out how best to not harm myself, before launching.   cooldude
