Just a note to owners of a wide range of Harley models from 2014-2015 that there is now a recall for potential loose saddlebag hardware brackets.

Check with your local dealer.

I've got a couple friends that have '14 Street Glides. Now I've got to figure how to casually tell them about their recalls. Neither said anything about the clutch recall.  2funny

That's a fake recall.  When you bring the bike in for recall work they actually install a modern water cooled overhead cam engine that makes horsepower/torque and doesn't break down.

Don't let your Harley friends fall for it.  If they do they may actually possess a bike worth owning that's not just a lifestyle accessory

they even offer me 100% trade in to get me back in there,, paid 24 for the bike and they will give me 24 for it on trade in, but only if i trade up and it aint worth 10 grand to get one water cooled..especially when they leak..

Jess,   you need to use OEM HD filters on a HD bike, dah!

Otherwise,  problems such as these recalls will occur more frequently.

Pretty surprised spending 15K+ on a HD and use a 3 dollar walmart oil filter?   coolsmiley

Owned Harleys for years and still do. Harley hopes you buy into their accessories and pretty's! (chrome, clothes, underware) Thats where they make a bundle off of ya. You can go broke buying anything with Harley on it in the motor cloths division. They will give  you a "T" shirt or two when you buy a bike but all that does is lead you into the extra's portion of their stores. It's no different than any other breed of bike. Yamaha, Kaw, Indian, Victory, they are all the same. Anyone that hasn't seen that has never been bike shopping before.
I never bought into any of this but have seen many people that do. You can tell these people from a mile away. They are the ones that shine for the 15 minutes when they have their bikes out at some type of gathering and park it when they get done. There isn't a bug on their leather including their chaps. You know, yuppie wanna be bikers. They have an 09 something with 400 miles on it. We've all  seen this and that isn't just a Harley thing.
