\After a 4 year hiatus I'm back on two wheels. FINALLY!
Just picked up a black 99 Interstate, 64K miles for a SWEET deal from Gary down in Burbank, IL
A bit of $$$ and 50 miles of riding 294 North in about 91 degree temps and she's in the garage till I move into my new place next week.
Now the only thing on my mind is "what are the first 20 things I'm gonna customize!!

A few pics! - https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9bex4eASoI_fkwwUEFVN1BXSlhqcThkcDEzSjdaMDhKbkwzd3lHTURndlhQdGlxVXZxdTg&usp=sharing

Hope the link works.

See Yall on the Road!!

Congrats, looks to be a near identical carbon copy to my 2001 black I/S except you have baker air wings and an eagle or something like that painted on the top trunk in back.

You will enjoy the iron horse tank bib storing items inside like like I do an mp3 player if you haven't already ran a 3.5mm AUX plug in cable from behind the right side cover plug in, under the tank and up the left side into the tank bib.

I just wish black would stay clean longer mine has a layer of dust on it but that could be my fault for both not driving it enough and should really store it under my cycle cover when not going to use it daily.

Congrats on the purchase. As been said previously, she chose you, not the other way around.

To all..

Thanks for the congrats.
I'm not new to the Valk...just found my way back after a few years.
Yes, she chose me.
There's work to be done: new seats, exhaust, saddlebag rails and various other items that fall under "safety chrome", but it's much too sunny, much too warm and entirely too much road that has felt those two tires to put her down for work. Nope...winter season is wrenchin season...till then
I gotta find my ipod, my discount gas card and ride.
Feels like Christmas in July!!  Smiley
