From Rocky Mountain Gun Owners:
“This letter is to inform you that effective soon, your homeowner’s insurance policy could be canceled due to your possession of ammunition.”
That’s a horrible thought, isn’t it? Sadly, it’s not just a bad dream.
If you live in Denver and you have too many rounds of ammunition in your home, city bureaucrats have cooked up a new plan to slap you with a fire code violation.
And I’m afraid it’s even worse that we first reported.
If you are found to be in violation of the fire code, ammo confiscation could be just the beginning!
You could lose insurance coverage, and be subject to fines, fees, outrageous premium hikes, or even a lien on your home . . .
. . . not to mention, you could be left 100% financially liable if an unrelated accidental fire happened in your home.
Ammunition has been proven to NOT be a fire hazard, so this proposed change to the fire code is a naked attempt at a back-door ammo ban.
If you’re over their arbitrary limit, not only could they have your policy canceled on the spot, but your claim would also likely be denied!
And if they get away with it in Denver, it’s just a matter of time before fire districts all over use this type of regulatory loophole to take away your ability to protect yourself.
Mark, this anti-gun scheme is by the gun-grabbers’ design.

Dear Mark,
BAM! What was that? Crunch. Thud!
It’s the sound of an axe mutilating your front door.
The Denver Fire Department is here to confiscate all your ammunition or condemn your home.
Why? Because you had one too many rounds of ammunition on your premises -- you broke the new “fire code.”
If you think this scenario is far-fetched, think again.
Inside sources say that’s exactly what the Denver Fire Department’s new regulations will do by deeming the storage of more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition in any residential occupancy “unsafe.”
That's why I need your help!
Please take a moment to sign your "Stop the Denver Ammo Ban" petition, and when you do you will be automatically entered to win 10,001 rounds of .22LR ammo.
I know it sounds outrageous, but the gun-grabbers will stop at nothing to limit your ability to protect yourself and your family.
Billionaire ex-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his collection of crony Colorado mayors have long been working to find ways to impose gun control under the radar.
It makes sense. After years of seeing many of their locally crafted gun control schemes get swatted down by the courts and RMGO members and supporters like you, they’re hoping to test the waters with this newly-crafted plan to abuse the fire code in the name of “safety.”
Call me cynical, but I don’t buy it for a minute.
You see, we’re not talking about just banning 10,000 rounds in a single home. We’re talking about 10,000 rounds in a residential structure.
That means if you live in a duplex, or a condominium, or an apartment or townhome in the City of Denver, you could be breaking the code simply if your neighbors have enough ammunition stored to put you over the limit.
Or worse, if your neighbors already have 10,000 rounds in their apartment, just one bullet in yours puts you in violation.
The goal of the Denver Ammo Ban is crystal clear: Use the fire code to threaten property owners and managers with condemning their properties unless they “voluntarily” impose gun control.
Property management companies, Home Owner Associations, mortgage companies, could all be forced to adopt gun control rules for your own home.
Unfortunately, we’ve seen too many businesses cave to the demands of gun-grabbers in recent years...
Starbucks, Uber, Target to name a few.
The thought of expanding that list by coercing “private” entities into destroying your Second Amendment rights where you live could be a devastating game changer.
Just the threat alone is sure to send shockwaves resulting in new gun and ammo bans for tens of thousands of law-abiding residents in Denver without a politician ever being held accountable for it.
And if we let them get away with it now, it’s only a matter of time before it spreads like wild fire to other towns across the state and country.
Simply put, Denver bureaucrats have no business telling you how many rounds you can have in your magazine or at home. Be it ten, thirty, ten-thousand or a million.
Personally, I call 10,000 rounds “running low,” so I’m going to do everything I can to make sure you’re not in that boat. That’s why RMGO is giving away 10,001 rounds of .22LR ammunition!
To help RMGO fight this latest gun control scheme please sign your “Stop the Denver Ammo Ban” petition right away!
When you do you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to win the ammo they want to ban.
Mark, you and I have defeated back-door regulatory schemes like this before.
Together we’ve taken down the proposed open carry ban in Castle Rock, we’ve protected campus carry, and earlier this year we struck a huge blow against the ATF’s proposed ban on M855 “green tip” ammo by flooding their doorstep with hundreds of thousands of petitions.
Each and every time gun owners rally to expose these gun-grabbing schemes, we see results.
That’s why I hope I can count on you again.
You can help by clicking here to sign your “Stop the Denver Ammo Ban” petition right now. You’ll be automatically entered into the 10,001 round ammo giveaway.
Then, when you’re done signing, please consider chipping in $10 or $20.
Please act today.
