Went on on a P GR mission yesterday 7-29-2015 for a Vietnam era former U S Army enlisted man. At P G R missions here in Missouri the Ride Captain asks if there are any new P G R members in attendance. Just so happened there were 2 new P G R members on their first mission. First one was introduced and we applaud and say welcome. The 2nd new member was introduced and my heart caught in my throat. After he was introduced we said the Pledge of Allegiance and then a Prayer. I walked up to Joe Moskaly and asked him where he was originally from. I had my vest on with the small blue patch that sez Dennis. He told me if your last name is Patterson we grew up a block and a half from each other. He got married and joined the Marines at 17. I HAD NOT seen this guy in 45 years or more. Myself Joe and another guy we grew up with who also joined the Marines by the name of bill Tukesbrey had our chairs personalized in the Principles office in grade school and high school. To say we got in trouble in school is putting it mildly.

Joe not only served in he Marines-he also did hitches in the U S Navy and the U S Army. Joe always was and is somewhat of an overachiever. To say I'm happy tying up with an old friend I lost touch with is-again-putting it mildly.

I will have to have a talk with Joe though-while he is in the wind he is o a noisy V-Twinky!

RIDE SAFE.
