Didn't pass inspection? Trapped in a dui stop? Just failed? Nothing more disheartening than seeing your ride towed away.... cooldude

It could have been worse

That could have been your Valkyrie sitting on a wrecker on your way to Inzane
and you having to leave it and rent something to get there after realizing
you couldnt handle RJ's MGM trike.

Damn squirrels or whatever caused the mishap

It died on me after exiting the expressway (in pretty much the worst place possible).

Turns over freely but not even a hint of re-light.

I guessed fuel delivery.

You'll notice it's not on fire in the pic...I was fresh out of matches (I don't tolerate unreliable vehicles).

Towed to the shop. They said this morning there is no power to the fuel pump...and they've traced it as far back as the fuel pump relay and it's something prior to that...so main computer or possibly ignition switch. They'd run out of money that I'd authorized them to burn finding the issue...so I lit a couple more bills on fire to see what they find.

Gad.

My 1997 Mazda did that to me a couple of weeks ago.  Turned out to be a timing belt.

Oh, well.  I guess it's still cheaper than car payments.   Wink

Must be something going around. I had my f150 clutch pedal go down to the floor in the middle of a busy intersection last week. Me being 72 and it was hot out I was not even trying to push it. Two big young guys pushed it to a safe spot. I got towed home and $39 later I fixed it. Master cylinder pushrod broke. Damn plastic parts.
