for the ride to Waynesboro,Va,

if anyone want to meet up and group ride South, I can meet people  on the New Jersey Turnpike at either the Walt Whitman Service area or the Clara Barton Service area. I access the NJTP from I-195.

I'm about 90 min from the Walt Whitman.

Ok guys, I-81 is no where near my route, but I can see why you guys will use it.  My town,(Brick) is 4 miles from the ocean, so I'm very east.

If anyone else from our north group wants to meet up/is able to meet up and ride down together just let me know, maybe we can work something out.

I can head west on NJ State HWY 70 if necessary or I can meet up in Deleware if we choose to if the NJTP service areas are no good.

FYI....ROBIN if you haven't been down the south end of the NJTP, they did a real nice job with the construction work at that end of the Turnpike. It's wide open w a dedicated car only and car/truck only separate lanes.

Ride safe all

Craig & Robin,

I've been looking at the map (mileage and time) and for me to take I-81 only adds about 10 minutes to my total trip but about another 40 miles.

AT exit 52 on I-81 is a Denny's:

501 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA, 17015

according to my Map, it would be about a 2 1/2 hour ride (188 miles)

I could meet up with either one of you guys if you want to ride together. we would just have to work out an eta.

I'm planning on leaving between 7-8 AM if I go solo.

Robin,

after our phone conv, I found Rt.15.

I can take the Penn. T.P. to exit 236 which is Rt.15 an there is a Cracker Barrel (shown on the map)at this address;

395 Cumberland Pkwy, Mechanicsburg, PA, 17055

I called there and they open at 6am

this would be a 2 hr 20 min ride...178 miles

Jersey Mike,  good idea, but I have 5 hours to get there, I hate to mess up your ride by being late.
Lots of CT. traffic to deal with.  And it's looking like some rain between here & there, so I better pass.
I'll PM you my cell, who knows we might end up close at some point.
Ride Safe,
Craig
