I was... But I also had just enough smarts to not get my first bike until I was almost 30 because of that... Heck, my first real car I'd bought myself I made it a point of hitting 100 MPH every single time I got it out of the garage for several years straight.

Not damning the kid, the made his mistakes and he's paying the price, luckily it appears he's the only one paying the price for it (Beyond some dents and dings).

Settin in my hi back very comfortable cloth upholstered office chair in front of my puter and my ass was chewin holes in the upholstery!  Undecided Very MUCH like the feeling I had when my big truck was on icy roads.   Lips Sealed I'm guessin here was yet another Russian kamikaze?  uglystupid2 YES-I have cut thru traffic and passed on the right when I wuz younger-but NEVER at those speeds.  Cool What I'm actually surprised at is the fact there aren't more of these kamikaze vids!  uglystupid2 RIDE SAFE.

Wow!!   At 53 I consider all my years and current riding crazy at times however that is pure D insane uglystupid2  Death wish!   There is a street riding game app on the ipad that does the same thing this punk did I will stick to that.

A few years ago I was cage driving on I-75 Sarasota FL dead of summer practically no traffic (I could see a car one mile ahead and one mile behind) EMPTY!  I see a squid in the rear view I instantly knew the speed he was traveling was faster than I have ever seen or done by a long shot.  150 on the unreliable calibrated speedo on my GS1100 Suzi is my max and that was in reality what, 140?

Even though in was driving in the fast lane going fast I decided not to alter my lane position letting him pick his line.  I was open mouthed when he passed by. Zamboni!!! That was off the chart fast. Because of the deserted 3 lane highway I felt at least this was the right time to give this a go as he did taking the traffic out of the equation.      This dude in the video - what would you do with a brain if you had one?

Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.

No, I never pulled such a dumb stunt.   I probably did other things that were dumb but, nothing that stupid.

Along these lines but slightly different. My bother-da prez-has a Fast Valkyrie for sale in the North Western burbs of the Windy City. Had a 19 year old checking it out that wanted to buy the Valkyrie. Ross asked him what his riding experience was and the young man told him-this will be my first M/C. To which my brother stated-I will NOT sell you this M/C as it is NOT a starter bike. He told the young man with your parents consent I might consider it. To which the young man stated-I'm nineteen and legal in Il. Long story long-the young man did NOT get to purchase the Valkyrie. I've been at my Honda dealer and watched teenagers take delivery of extremely FAST crotch rockets and ask myself-self-think they'll live long enough to vote?  Undecided Course we also have young uns in 7 or 800 H/P cages so pick yer poison.  uglystupid2 RIDE SAFE.

He was an accident looking for a place to happen.

I've never pulled that crap. My first bike at 18 was a Honda CB400A, next 2 were CB750F's (SOHC and DOHC), then my 94 PC800, and last summer my '98 Valk.

I've been doing this since I was 11 and thought I've done a lot of stupid stuff, but, nothing like that !

Any kind of vehicle way back then didn't have the power these monsters have today.

I've mentioned before the incident JoAnn and I saw one night in Miami when the 2 riders killed themselves. Blood and guts spread along the road slows you down for awhile.

It's not the size of the bike, nor the rapid acceleration, or the speed acheived.
But it was the rapid rate of deceleration that caused a world of hurt.  Undecided

I'm just glad that he's probably off the highways for many months to come, if not permanantly. With the example he set, it's no wonder cage drivers act as if we don't exist!   Mike in New York
