Hi all. I'm an old member returning - I don't remember my name or VRCC number from before.  I had an '03 Black Standard Valk and loved it.  I was on here a lot and even made it onto one of the Valk Calendars (do they still do that?).

Sold my Valk and went through several other bikes (Goldwing, CBR600, CBR1000) but just picked up a '14 Valk last week.  I still see some posts from people I remember from back then.   Anyway... any post is always better with pics.  cooldude

Couple pics of my '03:

Only pic I have of the '14 Valk (so far):

Nice!  Welcome back.

However, you do not narrow the field  much around here, when you say "old, fat guy"!   2funny 2funny

Yeah, I've been called that for over 40 years, and ever since day one on this site.

Welcome back.

Where are you located?

As a wild guess, I'd say probably St Louis.

If so, there is a couple of old fat farts who are brothers that live there.
Real nice guys.

RJ, I used to live in STL but moved about an hour east and am now in Southern IL.  Not many good riding roads around here without riding a fairly good while to get to them.  It's mostly farm land around here, ride flat and straight for 10 miles, then make a 90 degree turn. Repeat.   Grin

Thanks for the welcome back guys.

I will have you know that the roads in Illinois are just like Hwy. 129 , the dragon. There are 11 turns in 318 miles. Dodging pot holes is an adventure. Avoiding being shot in Chi-town is a challenge. Sorry to say I reside in Illinois.

Welcome back, whoever you were!  Cheesy Your new ride looks nice. How are you liking it so far. I just bought an F6b a month ago after totaling out my second Interstate.

Time moves on and so do Honda motorcycles. I'm really, really liking the "b". Hopefully, it'll be my last bike.
I'm located 50 miles west of Chicago and 6 miles from Aurora in a small town called Yorkville.

Ah, that was me!  In reference to Whitey Herzog, the Stl Cardinals former baseball manager.  I had a flat top like his.  You'd think I woulda remebered that!!  Oh well, that is the "old" part of OldFatGuy kicking in.

Thanks for the info, Willow.

Welcome back!  Say, in pic number 4, is that Armor-All on your tires?  If so, I hope you don't do that anymore.

Ride Safe,
