K F C Survival only. I have yet had a good experience with Kentucky fried critters. I have tried several in the past and have not been impressed. da prez

I think KFC, if they still have the $5.00 meal deals, is the best deal going in fast food. I like their chicken deep fried but if anyone uses OLD grease, then it does ruin it and can get you sick. I have had that experience in our local Burger King and we all got sick afterwards and something did not smell right when eating it like used old grease from the entire week not changing it out. AT KFC $5.00 meal deals, you get chicken of your choice, side of your choice, drink, and even a biscuit and cookie - what a deal!!!!! Dairy Queen though is pretty close in their $5.00 meal deal since you get a token to use for a free sundae after the meal. Culver's restaurant, if you get the 'kids meal' under age 12 for almost 5 bucks as well (yah I know we are not that young) you also get a a decent single butterburger, fries, drink, as well as on the bag a token to get you a free cone or dish of custard. YUMMMM!!!! NONE of which as you know was driven there with the Valk.

We're talkin World Best kind.
If you ever run into one on your travels, eat there. Buffet too. With ice cream.
But really, the chicken is fantastic.

You had me wanting to try that, Moonshot but there's none anywhere near the west Chicagoland area.

The KFC (Kentucky) went out of business, yeah I know in a Jamaican neighborhood it seems that Jerk Chicken is king not fried
The Culvers next to the IZ hotel was good, had fish there and also the grilled chicken always with a Sundae NO calories in ice cream when you are at IZ

Dreamaker , If I would have only gone once , I would have been told to try again. I tried another and was dis-appointed again. A guy at work took me out for lunch to KFC. I did not say anything , He was buying. Chicken was old , dry and the cold mashed potatoes were worse. FYI , If you were to go and get 10 meals that were the same , Mine would be missing something if I was first or last to pick. I avoid KFC. The only thing I think is worse is Waffle house. Maybe it is the areas I have been in. Every body has good experiences and bad with the same restaurants. .

Sounds like Col. Sanders has it in for you. Didn't the guy you were with noticed it was bad, or is he like some of my friends that has taste buds of a Rottweiler. Honestly I have eaten KFC since I was a kid, and never had a anything like you described, Stay away from KFC in you area, maybe it wasn't chicken, old shoe or glove. LOL!

+1000 Pizza Ranch is the future! Can't beat their buffet, especially the chicken and the dessert pizza!

Chicken. I sometimes eat chicken but I prefer the bovine. I've eaten at KFC. It's not the best but it is what one might expect from a fast food chain serving fowl. My wife gets weary of hearing me explain when I order chicken tortilla soup, "I don't really like chicken but I eat the soup because I derive a certain amount of pleasure from visualizing someone holding the chicken's beak under the surface until it stops twitching." I likely have the tastes of a Rottweiler that was earlier referenced. To me what's around the table at a meal is much more important than what's on the table. Colonel Sanders is dead.
