My son and I spent the weekend at the White Buffalo Bikefest. We had a great time. Lots of good food and music.

Just for grins, I entered my first bike show. There were only three bikes in the Metric Touring Class..... but my '97 Tourer came in 1st. Not bad for an 18 year old bike with 147,000+ miles. Second place went to a 2014 Goldwing and Third went to a REALLY nice Kawasaki.

I entered a show two weeks ago in Chatfield MN.  There was 17 classes of cars but only one class for motorcycles.  My '98 Tourer took third place behind a custom built chopper with a S&S motor and a restored '81 Honda CB550 in a field of a dozen bikes.  Two Hondas beat out all the Harley's there.

I when out yesterday, a very windy day, planning a September group ride.  Stopped at BuckNuckles bar in Praag WI.  This place is very interesting and popular with bikers and car clubs.  The old gal drew a lot of attention even with two other Valks that were there.  I don't see that very often.  There was a lot of questions and yes, pictures were taken of her...

Congrats Bugslayer on first place.
I went on a Poker run Sat. with American Legion Riders out of New Paris, OH to raise money for Toys for Tots.  Before we left I noticed a group of riders gathered around my Valk taking pics and said what a beautiful bike and were amazed it is a 97.  Then during the first leg of the ride to Hot Rods and Harleys in Greenville, OH I took a wide turn onto the 127.  A pretty Sportster behind me came up and  cranked his bike on to blow up into my spot.  I gave a quick twist of my throttle and blew back past him like a rocket.  5 minutes later he parked next to me saying man that thing has got some acceleration.  Before the day was done 3 people said they wanted to ride it

Damn I love these Valks

Thanks, everyone!

I never woulda thought I'd get first.  I don't know who was more surprised.... me or the 2014 Goldwing owner that took 2nd. The look on his face said it all.   Grin
