Just A little run...... would've gone quicker, but there were pokey Harleys all around....

Lol

On A bad note... our place north west of Grayling MI has a dirt 2 tracker, private road that is just under a 1/2 mile to get in.... sandy in a bunch of places, so it is an interesting time to get 2 Goldwings ( ridden by my 70 plus Dad and Uncle ) and my Valk up to the place ( I of course had no issues... Wink .)

Well after a nice 300 mile ride on Saturday including the posted video.... we came back home after a nice Dinner in Bellaire MI ( some of you might know the place) and A beverage at the Shorts Brewery...

It was still light, but on the way back into the ranch.. my Uncle on his 93 Wing.. (one of those oversized scooters) grabbed too much throttle on a slip and correction and the rear slid out from under..... we were barely going 3-5 MPH but he got his foot caught under the right saddlebag and it was twisted and pinned... he put his foot down to close to it and it caught..... Dad rushed up and lifted the Biek up enough to get his foot out.. after a minute he got up and tried to finish....

Bout another 200 yards he did it again and had the foot peg nail the same ankle.....

Now he did not feel he could get the bike thru the last of the sandy spots- about 30 more yards, but could walk a bit.... So I rode his bike past the bad spots and then went back and got mike..

Well iced the ankle and thought it was just sprained.....

Next morning he could barely walk..... But he felt he could ride home once we got to pavement..So we hatched a plan....  I would ride his bike out and he would ride out to the bike on the only 4 wheeled vehicle we had..

Our 1974 John Deere..... top speed about 3-4 MPH....

I would then take the tractor back and ride my bike out...

all went well until i was riding the damn scooter thing out and near the end , I hit a patch of sand and dumped it....  no one was around so I wretched the damn thing up and got to the road...

To finish a long story.. Dad and I have sore backs....

Uncle ended up at Urgent Care and found out he had Fractured Tibia and will be in a cast for 4-6 weeks..

But he rode home 165 miles on it.....

Wish him well as he just got back on the bike after 2 hip replacements....

Good ride gone wrong.... But is was still a great ride overall!

Lacking options, manning up is what you gotta do.

But, Kudos to the man for sucking it up and doing what needed to be done.   cooldude
